Hello,

This is going to be a strange question but I really need some help on this.

I'm a brand new shopper with CRI and I watched the video that pertains their Auditor University. I attempted to take the exam after watching the videos and I would swear that there are a couple of questions on the test that are not covered in the training videos. I looked at those videos three times. Does anyone know whats going on? Thanks.

It is possible that there are items that are not covered. Make your best guess at the answers and if you don't pass the quiz after a couple of tries, make a list of your answers and email it to them with a request for help. They are pretty good at getting back either telling you which answers are wrong or what the correct answers are so you can pass the thing.
Like any mulitple answer question there is one right answer. Print the test and as you read text from the Auditor, answer the questions. The SIGN test was the hardest for me, but it was passable.
Part of the test is from the documents you read and signed. That note is in the instructions. The test is only 70% from the video.
Hello,
I am a new member also, and I have the same problem with the test. I printed out the Q & A, I tried many different answers, but can't made the 100%
I even printed out the agreement too, I thought will find the right answer, but still no luck.
Is there any of you can or able to help me out???
Thanks: jozsinko46
When you have tried it a few times and not passed, contact the company with a list of your answers and ask for help. They are good about telling you which ones you have wrong and sometimes will just send you a list of the correct answers.
HELLO!!!!
Been there, done that with them. You feel like such an dummy. But yea, they do not cover all the questions when you are watching the video or the pre test. I don't even work for them anymore. Their pay is to low and the phone shops are not worth anyones time. Just my opinon.
I had the exact same experience. It makes you feel like you're crazy or something. I've had that experience with more than one company. Somehow I managed to get it figured out, but it was a major frustration at the time.
There is one company that if you dont get the answers right they will show you which ones are wrong. I don't recall the name of the company as I have around 60 of them so far and still applying. And I do not know if I can say who they are when I figure it out.
Yes their tests are sometimes not straight forward. I found that some of their questions come from so-called footnotes. Sometimes they are exceptional circumstances described in red letters under pictures in the training. Make sure you pay good attention to all those little things. Sometimes, if they are true/false questions and the subject of the question has not been mentioned in the training, I just answer false, and that turns out to be correct.

I agree. Any company that makes me jump through too many hoops is not worth my time. I tried the exam a handful of times and did email the company but got no response. I'd rather spend my time elsewhere.

Shopping Chicago land since 2010
I have run into that a few times-especially the Exxon/Mobil test. I finally got it after several tries..They're a really great company..I have been completing several shops a week with them-and they pay faster than some other companies that I've worked for-one took 2 months after shop completion!!

You must be in a good area. The pay for me in my area never goes past ten dollars. Had an email today for a major co. that everyone knows, pay less than four dollars. NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Same here, the "tests" they make you take then pay (in my area) $4.00 a shop. Not at all worth my time.
The most annoying thing with this company is that you cannot see the pay until you pass the test. If we new the pay up front we would know if it was worth the time to take the test.
I have done many shops for CORI but every few months they want me to take another text for Exxon/Mobil shops. These tests are ridiculous. I don't work for them very much these days. The tests take a lot of time and it's really not worth it for the amount they pay.

I still do a few shops for them, but only if the store are on my way when I do another shop.
Worth the time for any of their shops when the pay goes above the 20.00 mark.
But no not worth the time for a 3.00 shop.
I completed my first shop for them today at one of the big box hardware stores. I was so nervous even though I've done a million similar type of shop with getting greetings ect, but still the first time with a company is nerve wracking wanting to get it all right. The turn in took me forever. I wanted to get it perfect but I'm sure I didn't. Their little note something along the lines of trick questions to basically keep your honest threw me though. I'm an honest shopper but man just knowing that somehow they are trying to trip me up is nerve wracking to say the least. The store is just down the street from me so I figured I would give it a shot before taking on more and it paid about $15 but after an hour there and 2 hours at biting my nails turning it in and writing up all of the interactions...gonna have to wait til these pay a lot more til I try one again. I'm sure it would go faster after doing enough of them, but still....
I forgot about that whole trick question thing and don't remember every seeing one. If that report is taking 2 hours then you are over thinking it. I've never had a problem with just a sentence or two with the basic interactions, a paragraph with the main interaction and the one or two paragraphs for the overall. My average for on-site is about 20 or 25 minutes and maybe another 15 or 20 on the report. The on-site is assuming I don't shop for myself, which is a rare thing indeed!

I think most of us including myself get nervous doing a job for the first time. Heck, I still get nervous doing a repeat shop sometimes. It's human nature I guess. That was a very long shop to do for that amount of money. I'm with you, wait and see when the shop at least pays 20.00 or over. I have done many shops for CRI and have made some mistakes, but they always have let me know what they were and I have always been paid for them. If the shop you are talking about is when you have to interact with 6 employees, I take my hat off for you for even doing that one! Good luck on your next one!
If you are spending a lot of time on a CORI report, you are over thinking it. I know I spent a lot of time on my first few and then started adding less and less details. I always get a 5 (their max score) and from what I have heard nearly everyone else does to.

Out to run out and do some today. Was considering the shops at $12, but when I woke up and all 3 were bonused to $20, I jumped.
About a year ago, I did a CORI shop for an assisted living facility. It paid $70 something and change. I have not seen anything like it. I am doing my first box hardware store shop this week. It is paying $20 and change, so I thought I would give it a try. Any advise/suggestions?
Jersey - On that first hardware box, be careful about the register questions. There's a question about where you make the observed checkout or the code 3 observation (can't remember which), and it asks how many registers there are in that group, and how many were open not counting the self checkout. Part of the registers will be in the contractor section, and they will be like maybe No. 1, 2, and 3 or whatever. Then the main bank of registers will be, for example, No. 4 through 14, but not all of them will be open and part of the ones that are open may be the self check out ones, which they don't want you to count. Look over the register questions carefully before you do the shop. I have a cheat sheet and I still get confused (doesn't take a lot here). If you do anything out in the Garden Center, its going to ask you how many registers are out there, too. They get easier and easier the more you do. Wish you the best of luck / Mary

Well I got a 5 on my report so I'm happy about that. I wasn't sure how long it would take to get the report finalized with them. Some company's take a week or more to finalize and give scores ect. I'm pretty sure I just over thought the whole thing. The whole 6 greetings thing really isn't too bad. I do a bunch of grocery shops for Trendsource and I'm used to doing a lot of those. It was the report I was more nervous about getting right. I must have done alright. I know that stores have video going but when a company points it out to you that your shop will be compared to video, does it make you more aware of what you are doing? Between the warnings about being video recorded so make sure you are doing everything perfect, the trick questions on the report and their team shopping warning, CORI sure makes their shoppers honest that's for sure. I see several shops available and it's so hard not to just jump on them all, but knowing that the fee's go up I'll be holding out a little long I guess. Thanks for the advice everyone!
Question about CORI. While I see a lot of different shops available in the areas I shop, what shops do not have fee's that go up regularly like the Big Blue Box Hardware store does? Without naming names of course, are there any places that never get bonused and I shouldn't wait to grab?
I'm glad to read about the potential bonus bump-ups. I just signed up with this MSC (after continuing to see the name here), and -- after spending too much time watching their "University" and "culture" video training before watching two of their assignment videos -- I was shocked to see the LOW pay offered for what looks like extensive retail shops.

Yeah the registers are confusing. Do you know if the company frowns on using a smartphone to take notes while shopping? I like to use my phone to take notes (looks like texting) and use the voice recorder on it to catch details.
