Service Sense and Kern Scheduling

Recently, Kern Scheduling began promoting opportunities for Service Sense. I observed that the opportunities were being cross posted on both Job Boards.

Bill Koch (Service Sense) responded to my inquiry as follows:
"There is only one Job Board. If a specific assignment is open for application it is only open then, in one place...."

Bill further advised me to contact Lori Kern directly. Lori has yet to respond to my email.

I asked which site to apply on. My apps on Service Sense were ignored. It appeared that the postings on KSS took precedence, after a week someone eventually cleared out the requests made via Service Sense. The listing on KSS were updated in a timely manner. They are still cross posting select opportunities.

I am familiar with this as Kern has taken over scheduling for other companies, sometimes just specific projects. They jobs are always cross posted. It is never clear what site Kern is actively scheduling from in these situations. It is also not always obvious this is going on.

My posts are solely based on my opinions and for my entertainment, contact a professional if you need real advice.

I had no problem getting a couple from Lori at Kern Scheduling, so no need to go to the original board. I am doing two this month (so far). Love that company. They have grown, so getting a scheduling company makes sense to me.

Lorri is out of the country right now. She texted me from the plane on Thursday. I'm guessing she will be back on Monday? I did not want to bug her while she is having family time.
I am sure they will sort it all out. Guess I will apply via both sites if a location is cross posted.

There was a big project that Maritz turned over to Kern. The shops were cross posted: accepted via Kern then reported via Maritz. All my shops still sit in "New" status on KSS even though I was paid by Maritz many months ago.

With the exception of Maritz, I go through Kern. If there is a problem, like with payment from Merc, Kern has a way of making things happen.

Lori has been emailing me jobs, so she must be back from her trip.

No, she’ll be home tonight. She just texted me. I think she might have snuck in some work or had somebody else send the emails.
