Intellishop

Hi. I'm new to mystery shopping and considering trying out Intellishop. Does anyone have experience working for this company? Any info or advise would be appreciated. Thanks!

I rarely do intellishop assignments. I used to do them when I was a newbie. I don't recall many difficult shops. The pay seems low but things might have changed. I guess give them a try and see if you like them. smiling smiley .
@Maypang welcome to the MS world! Keep your eyes open for telephone shops! Intellishop does a lot of them. Although each shop does not pay much, it is a reliable source of a few extra dollars every month. Have fun!
Do a search on the forum for Intellishop and it'll give you a real good idea of what shoppers experience with them are like. But you can try it out for yourself to see.
Oh and if you do try them, avoid their appliance, pizza, and property audit shops. That doesn't leave much to choose from, but you'll probably be scared off of MSing if you do any of those first. I recommend avoiding the appliance and property audit shops even after you're experienced. IS cannot pay me enough to do those. They are HORRIBLE.

What's done is done. An egg cracked cannot be cured.
There are 3 kinds of lies. Lies, Damn lies, and statistics.
Their burger shops are great starters. Low pay until late in the 3 or 4 week cycle, but the questionnaire is quick and easy. The hardest part is getting the required photos, some of them inside the restaurant.
I'm still waiting to be paid for the ones I have done. Won't do anymore until I get paid.
They aren’t the highest paying but they are pretty easy. I think I have done about 10 shops with them so far.
I use IS for filler shops when I have time before, between or after others. They may not pay the best, but the reports are relatively easy.
I've never had a problem with Intelishop, but read that others have. Just make sure to follow the guidelines carefully. And I would also add MarketForce if you are just starting out. Their reports are straightforward, and have minimal narratives.
No! Tried it never again in my humble opinion. Actually gave it a second try. Never say never.

This made me curious about my shop history with them. I looked at my log. I signed up with them in 2003 and did 194 shops for them total since then. They have an oil change shop that I do about every three months and I will do some of the pizza shops when they are adequately bonused ($20 or more). Over a year ago they did a casino in my area that I really enjoyed doing and I did that three times in the course of a year or so. A few times in the past five years I did a couple of car dealerships, but only when the shop was bonused to make the total amount due over $40. Other than that, nothing they have interests me. I have always gotten paid, my average shop score is "10", and overall I have had no issues with their shops. I'd say "never say never"...maybe do a few shops just to get a decent score average, and then wait and see. You never know what kind of juicy offerings they may have in the future.
I've only been at this a few months and I started out with them. They have a comic book shop every Tuesday that doesn't pay well, but was a good way for me to start. It is the same survey every week, but a different store. You have to take a few pics covertly. The repetition served me well. If you decide to do these, you might want to wait until the fees go up a few dollar to take it.
I just started as well but I really like Intelli-Shop so far. I have done high end retail, home improvement, and apartment appliance shops. The apartment appliance shops are my absolute favorite so far. They pay $20 and the shop itself is almost always between 10 - 15 minutes max. The report itself takes no more than 10 minutes. Plus the locations I choose are always relatively near by or I can add the shop to my route.

I had one really funny shop that started at a base fee of $4 and mind you this was not a phone shop. One would have to drive there and take a minimum of 7 pictures and fill out a survey. I laughed when that shop stayed on the board for a bit. They finally raised the fee to $8, but for me it was still to low. Once they added a $7 bonus I took the shop. So when in doubt wait til they bonus it.
Hi maypang..I love intellishop..have done about 13 shops for them in the past year..To start off I would suggest the comic book one..the 3 I have shopped were following the rules so no purchase was necessary...good luck...look into second to none also..as there shops are relatively easy too

I actually really like their pizza shops. They allow 5 / month max and I usually end up doing 5. My co-workers appreciate a pizza lunch the next day sometimes!
I have done quite a bit of work for Intelli-shop....

* I rarely (like never) take their jobs at their initial offer. For the most part, you'll be working for less than minimum wage if you do. If all their shops get picked up in your area at that offer, move on. However, if their shops do not get taken, the payment offered will slowly go up until the do get taken. In my area, the compensation can be more than adequate after pay has been bumped a few times.
* They do get a little nit-picky on their scores sometimes... Keep your sentence structure in narratives simple - some of their editors do not do well with complex sentences structures and will ding you for perfectly good sentences.
* They do have a wide variety of shops - fast food, comic books, apartments, basic new vehicles, super-high-end ($200,000+) vehicles, wire transfers, cable companies, and more. They are a decent company for getting an idea what mystery shopping is all about.
* I have found their schedulers reasonably easy to work with - though they do not have much room to negotiate compensation.
* They offer the same compensation nationwide for the same shops and struggle to recognize that $20 means one thing in a place where minimum wage is $8/hr and the average home under $100K and a totally differen thing where the minimum wage is $15/hr and the average home is $600K....

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
I joined Intelli in 2016 and have done 942 shops for them. (Just saw the shop log) About 95% of them are phone shops. They pay less but are less time consuming. I, personally never had a problem with payments. They pay on the 20th of each month. In my humble opinion, the pay for their on site visits often do not justify the work involved in the reports and hence I avoid them. I take a few if I am going there anyways. Phone shops are easy for me. I just did about 60 phone shops this month for Intelli. Try and see if it's your cup of tea. Otherwise, plenty of fish in the sea. Good luck!
@JASFLALMT..I never get those. For some reason, I keep missing those. Well, you go girl!!
I missed the last five times, but just happened to have sat down before dinner to check mail and the email came in! Since they are on rotation, maybe you will get the next round since the other shoppers can't do them again so soon.
Quick question on the shoe shop. I noticed in the guidelines it says they prefer no coupons..does this also apply to sales and clearance already listed on the website that don't require a coupon.. I might be overthinking it and it might literally mean just no coupons. Thanks

That's a good question, but I would say it just might mean no coupons. Email your scheduler just to be on the safe side.
They're easy, 7star. Well worth it since it completely covers the cost of the shoes (for me) since I am buying sandals. If I get a pair of Nikes, well it's a nice discount.
JAS, Monk - the shop in my area is taken ! Otherwise i would have given it a shot. I haven't shopped with the msc before because of alll the stories i heard. And i am going to be at a FF tomorrow too. It would've worked out. Maybe next time. Enjoy the sandals!
Emailed the scheduler..he stated sales are ok..that is all he said..my assumption is no coupons or clearance though. Regardless, I'm very excited..they have some great sales going on. No wonder these shops get scooped up so quickly...
