You are doing a facility tour at a large gym. There are a lot of things to remember, so take plenty if notes. The report is a bear. I only did one shop. And it looks like the pay went down.

The BARE report is much more involved. I did 2 in April still get emails trying to get me to sign up. The real problem is their sales method. The pitch isn't just for the gym membership, it's for $1,000-$1,500 package of personal training. They will have 3 people tag teaming you to sell the package. My first sales pitch lasted way over an hour, the second was almost 2 hours. Have an exit excuse ready when you have collected the information you came for.
Thanks for the input everyone. I was going to do this shop first today but may'be I'll do it last towards late afternoon and hope they are short staffed today and tired by the time I get there..

Shopping done today..went ahead and did this shop first..and its going to be the easiest of my reports..no one there except the front desk person..very short tour and he did hit every point..so no negative points for him from me

I did one but the pay was only $15. More than 35 minutes at the gym, driving time, 20 minutes, long report 35 minutes, total one hour 20 minutes for $12. I did not sign up for any other one since. Bare used to have restaurants and hotel shops, but I have not seen any lately. Is it only visible to certain shoppers?

PF shops are wayyyyy quicker and easier compared to these. I've done 10+ of each, and can say that the pay is disproportionate on these versus the amount of time you have to spend at the facility and at home doing the report. Many sections and yes, sometimes they keep you there forever. I wouldn't do it for less than $20-22 ... I record in my pocket (which is legal in my state) just in case I miss something... and they talk a lot.... skim through the report first to know what you will be looking and listening for.
Sounds like..I should have waited a bit longer for more of a bonus, but I did luck out because the sales reps weren't there the day I shopped them. Thus far, I'm very happy with Bare. I missed a key element in my initial report and instead of just giving me a very bad score. They allowed me to fix my mistake before they decided on a final score.
