Market Force Purple Porthole

Market Force gives a notice that, because of the nature of their shops, shops are subject to cancellation or last minute changes. They give the Shopper the "heads up" to reject the shop or take the shop with the understanding it may be altered or canceled.

Some of their shops require three-day commitments. I am sure they have enough qualified shoppers who will risk blowing a whole weekend and commit that time to Market Force with the understanding that it is a "poker game". The pay is high if you win you get nothing if you lose. Feeling Lucky? At least Market Force gives the shopper the choice of playing the game.

I take the shops only if the weekend is here and the shop is still available, which often is the case. If have committed my time and sometimes I cannot accept these shops, Market Force will break up the weekend and give a shopper one day or two days and try to get coverage elsewhere on the other day or days on those three day shops.

Scheduling is fustrating, but Market Force Purple has integrity.

The purple is not really MF, but it is CRINY and MF is blue, correct? MF owns both, however, but does nothing with the purple really.
I believe you are correct Angellique. Someone will be along to confirm.

Well, speaking of the purple portal; I've had to stop accepting the flat rate jobs as their prediction of how long it will take is always too low. I will now only accept them if they call and will waive the flat fee, or offer double pay.

I just did the REMICNOV project, estimated at 45-60 minutes. It took me over 130 minutes to complete it. I got $4 an hour, less if you count drive time, gas,k paperwork and report time. I think I did that one for free! Live and Learn.
my mom did that one and said it took her 2 1/2 hours... sad... and she was all happy to have work... now she has an assignment that might take 5 hours (or 20 depending on what happens..) i was like mom... you know that isnt much... but she just doesnt see things the way i do...

maybe thats because i drove 80 miles round trip twice for a 17 dollar shop... and i dont think i will even get the money cause the guy refused the info needed... sigh... perhaps i should set a better example... lol

shopping north west PA and south west ny
Kitkat, I saw that one and thouyght yeah, sure 60 minutes. I declined, even when they called. Now I have one scheduled to count liquor bottles. They estimate 2 1/2 hours, but it is a not revealed. How do you spend 2 1/2 hours in the liquor department of a large grocery store, without arousing anybody's suspicion?
I know this thread's about the purple portal, but is anyone having trouble with the blue portal today? I am entering data from audits and the screens keep timing out. Other sites are fine. It's been doing this since around 4:30pm off and on.
cosj, The sticker shop is super simple, they send you a packet of stickers, you got to the store and ask where the sets are. You apply the sticker on each phone, go home and report.
I do jobs for CMS (purple side of MFI) and they are a nightmare. How they get anything done I have no idea. Some of the jobs are simple and pay is low but they are close to me. Correspondence is horrible. Everyone at CMS will tell you something differnt. They cancel jobs I took then bonused them and gave them to someone else 3 times now.

I did this one. It was VERY easy. Took about 20 minutes. I took 2 photos.
The audit side of Market Force suspended my account after I was told by a department manager that she did not want me to come to take care of some sunglasses because the store was preparing for a special event. I then inadvertently hit the cancellation button for the other job I was going to do the next day. I sent them e-mails regarding both incidents and requesting that they reinstate the job I inadvertently cancelled. I found out my account was suspended, when I tried to log into their system. No notice, no explanation. I find that completely unprofessional.
That seems to be a common theme with MF. People get dumped with no notice.

Did the manager offer a possibility to reschedule the shop at some time in the near future? Attempting a reschedule may have been possible and would have probably been preferable to the MSC. Sometimes the employees make our job so difficult.
Yes. If I remember correctly, they were setting up for a Veterans Day sale which is probably a big sale for them. So, I understood the manager wanting to wait until after the sale. They really didn't need a vendor working in their store while they're moving things around and re-tagging things. However, I'm glad to know they do that on a regular basis. Before that, they had been calling me to work jobs they were having a problem filling. A lot of the jobs took much longer than they stated to do right. Their loss.
cosj: I do tons of these shops for MF purple. Super quick, super easy, and the reports are a breeze. I usually group a bunch together because they don't pay much for the shop. I usually try to do 4-5 in an hour if I can. Go for it.

Question: Have never done the purple door and am wondering what everyone recommends as jobs they enjoy!
Thanks!
