Performalogics Inc.

Does anyone have any experience with this company? I did a restaurant shop for them and first off the reimbursement was way too low for how much it actually cost to eat at the location. But secondly I got a rather snippy email from them that said my responses and report were too detailed and they did not "want to know everything that was said," followed by it took too long to read my report and that the clients did not want to read reports either. My report and narratives were minuscule compared to what I do for other companies I shop for so I am not sure exactly what they are looking for. Does anyone have any clue? I apologized and it's not so much that they have a different standard it was the snippy nature of the exchange that turned me off. They could have given the report back to me to change it? I only signed up because they were emailing me daily saying they needed someone to do this particular shop and it was near my office. I would be interested in other experiences with this company.

I am sorry you had that experience. I only just started working with Performalogics earlier this year. However, all my corresponse with them has been friendly and professional. I too put too much detail in my first report. For this company they really want very little narrative. They basically just want you to confirm any no answers. I was told 25-30 words when you have all yes answers, max 250 words if there are any no answers. They want you to confirm all no answers in the narrative. (Basically by just restating the question for example "Our server did not introduce themselves," "The cashier did not provide me with a receipt," or "The server did not make any recommendations from the menu," etc.) They are similiar to Market Force in regards to narratives.

I really like working for them. They have worked with me to "save" a couple shops when I forgot something.
Reimbursement/pay is on the low side and I have rarely seen a bonus. Reports are easy.
That snippy e-mail is hopefully a one-off.
I love Performalogics and I know the restaurant shop you are referring to. If you go alone, the reimbursement is fine. If you take someone, and if you are careful what you order, you can stay within the allotted amount (try going between 4pm and 6pm during Happy Hour, there are many discounts at that time).

The report literally takes 5-10 minutes, which for a restaurant shop is almost unheard of. Just confirm any "no" answers in your narrative. As others have said, that's really all they want.

Thanks yes I took a friend and we did go during happy hour. Next time I think I will do lunch not dinner! I like that the reports are so short and yes that’s just unheard of. The tone was just snippy and I’m not easily offended!
I tried to sign up for this company but I get an error message that says I need to enable Javascript. I have Javascript enabled and I tried on a different computer and two different phones. I don't know what is going on with the site.
Maybe try phoning?
I have never had a problem with them.

The reimbursement for the restaurant shop they have in my area would only cover about half of the required purchase.

I had signed up a while ago and get that message but also an additional message to the effect that my application has been submitted but not yet approved. I got the impression that they will approve me if they ever have something in my area.
I just checked the site and got the message about Java Script. It happens before you even get to fill out the application.

Here, they cover the required purchse + usually $10. But they don't cover a meal for a guest. sad smiley

I agree but I don’t prefer to eat by myself. You actually kind of stick out if you dine alone here. If the place was somewhere I normally ate I would still do the shop and just see it as a discount . But it’s out of my way with average food so it’s not worth it for me. For others it may be worth it. If they up the reimbursement or do a different place I may reconsider them but if not no.
