Sinclair Metrics

I look to this site for guidance. Both positive and negative and weigh my options. I didn't see anything posted for this project so I thought, it must be easier than it sounds. The certification for the credit card audit was confusing. I passed but didn't sign up for anything. Letting it resonate in my brain for a few days. Two weeks later a scheduler calls me and says it's no problem. I had already determined I wasn't driving an hour to do 50 shops. I'd have to spend the night in the middle of nowhere. I asked if he had any in town. He did. I accepted 36. I checked my route and called him back for more as I was headed in the direction he had about 14 more. I ended up with 54. The instructions that arrived were poorly photocopied. The directions contradicted my cards as to which were funded and which were not. I got them over the weekend so I couldn't get help until Monday at 8 AM. So I wasted 48 hours I could have shopped. Convoluted is the only word to describe it. I took two days off work, thinking I could knock them out. Nope. They were all due today. I got an extension until Friday. I still have 22 to complete. The reporting system is not user-friendly and crashes each time I try to do my reports. They wanted it done on your phone after each shop but it takes too long and burns up too much of my battery. Not to mention the 14 out of town, IE the sticks, meant no service. To top it all off one of the contacts they put on the documents no longer works there. I got greedy and wanted to make an extra mortgage payment this month. Never again. So grateful I went with my gut and didn't travel an hour out of my way to complete these. To top it off, they are behind in approving them. I may have to go back and redo some of them. I don't think that is right since the instructions were so unclear. Any thoughts?

Are these the (not naming the card) audits being done right now - where you test three cards, and one, or two, of them are funded? The reporting system is truly not friendly - that part has taken me far more time than actually doing the shops. And the directions were NOT correct, but I emailed the schedulers beforehand to be very clear...I had a long route out of town, and about 30 more to do this week, all in town...but the pay is good when the system works, and if you chose your purchases carefully, you could get some useful items smiling smiley
Interesting someone posted about these.. I received an email to take the test and I would get assigned around 50 but I didn’t take the test because with my full time job M-F I figured there was no way I could shop 50 locations in a short time period... I’m sorry it sounds like they were rough and the instructions weren’t great, I guess now you know what’s involved with them if nothing else!
Once you figure out the shop, it isn't difficult. The reporting can be, if the system isn't cooperating. And you can only do ONE report at a time. Once you start it, you're locked into that report until it's done, you can't get out and do all the others until that one is fixed... so if you do a number of shops, you can be in trouble with the reporting... And I will say, if you did the last round, where all the cards were set to be declined, these are better smiling smiley Not nearly as embarrassing!
darn.... I went to Sinclair hoping to pick up some of these in my area.... should have known that my area doesn't have them. We don't have squat here.

Trying to learn from all of these rockstars.
The reporting system is the worst. When I input the cc # they sent me and it tells me its not what they have on file. Uggh! Now I have to call have them look it up. Then tell me I'm right and to submit it again. Ince completed 10 foot rule for sure.
Sorry to hear about your problems. SCM has been having problems on their website for well over a year. There have been many times where their website is very difficult to login to. For a supposedly major msc they should not be having these problems.

They do have quite a few 'special' projects of all kinds. It isn't unusual for the instructions to be not clear at the beginning. It almost seems like they are rushing to get the shops out and haven't thought them through. Even after weeks/months, the instructions are sometimes not that clear.

Based on what I know about them I'd be very hesitant to do any kind of large project without a very detailed and reasonable set of shop instructions.
I wish I had your scheduler. Mine is friendly but less than helpful. He doesn't know any more than I do.
If I was sent anywhere that I could purchase something. Mostly services or too expensive. I did pick up some dvd's at a flea market without scratches, got some homemade pie, groceries to keep me going the day I did seventeen. Oh and some seeds for planting next year.
Lol, dreamweaver - sounds like we’ve been doing very similar routes. How many private residences have been on your lists?
Well, I've seen it all. Fish out of the water. I had to shop a Vape store. Just as I was about to call the shop for the items being too expensive. This project just bought me Nicotene lased toothpicks. 15 for $5. I had no idea this even existed. Now to find someone that will actually use it. Thank you unnamed credit card company. I'm happy to speed your money on ridiculous items like this.
I had a head / Vape shop too...got gifts for stepdaughter...a skull shaped “box” to store “tobacco” in, and a skull shaped grinder for “tobacco”...both under $10, so we were in the limit. In my case, I have two unnamed crds that seem to be funded for this project.
I have more shops in my area...extending into next week for me smiling smiley No complaints - I have already done over 90 shops, and I'll take as many as I can get...
