They are valid. I don't do any work for them.

How will you accept assignments if you don't click links?

Guest Check is valid. I've actually met Derek Wood during an IMSC event in Las Vegas some years ago, and I think that he/one of his schedulers directly assigns you to the job upon accepting one of his email requests. I've never seen a job board, yet that doesn't mean that one is non-existent either.
The company seems to have one client in my area, and I'll occasionally (and randomly) get emails asking for help completing the shops.

I could not find any information on them at all, for Guest Check or Mystery Shopping Solutions. Thanks!
Totally valid and recommended. Derek, Stacey, Dana, Ellen - all of them are fabulous. If you like high end assignments - especially resorts and hotels - and you don't mind narratives, than this is the best of the best. Ranks in my top 10, possibly even top 5.
They don’t have a job board and instead say that they reach out to people directly. I get emails saying “We are currently looking for shoppers in (your area)”. I respond saying hi, I’m in this area send me a job. They respond saying they will reach out if something fits me profile, no job board, blah blah. Never had a job from them.
Mystery Shopping Solutions is a job board. I never found it useful.

They ask you to apply then come back saying they need a lengthy narrative of a recently performed restaurant and hotel evaluation to be considered. I could not be bothered to send them in.
If you have any interest in upscale resorts, I'd highly recommend taking the time to submit writing samples to Guest Check. They are good people who require a lot from shoppers, but pay better than most and have some great assignments.

Same here. He doesn't have assignments I'm interested in but a super nice guy.

I have done restaurants and hotels for them. A lot of observations and writing but they are great to work with.
