Which companies are best for Restaurant shops?

Any recommendations on companies I should sign up with for shops like Olive Garden, Longhorn, Outback, etc.? I see some high end restaurants and a lot of fast food places, but not much in between. Thanks!

I enjoy the restaurant shops for A Closer Look. They have lots of options in my city and some really nice upscale places. The reports are fairly straightforward.

I LOVE ACL! They have mid-range to high-end restaurants. They are primarily reimbursement only, and that’s ok with me. Plus, they are a really wonderful company. I try to take as many shops with them as I can because they are genuinely good people.

Trying to learn from all of these rockstars.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I am signed up with ACL and have done a few with them and will continue to do more. How many shops did you have to complete for them before you could self assign?

Usually anything of high value with ACL requires a scheduler to approve. For shops you can self-assign, there is a limit of 4 or 5 per month.

For me, I almost always change the shop dates which requires a manual assignment.

I think you have to do 5-10 reports well before you can begin to get the better shops.

I agree. They have great schedulers.

Here are a couple that I like for restaurants: Management Consultant Group - Generous reimbursements to "fancy casual" places. Quality Service Control with ridiculously high reimbursements + shopper fee.

Does Quality Service Control use their job board? I logged in but didn't see any shops.

None showing for me either.

@hnov29 - I haven't looked at the job board for QSC in forever. Susan sends emails out around the first week of the month. Make sure you elected to get email alerts.

I also recommend A Closer Look. In my area, I see restaurants available with Sentry and Merc.

There are no job postings within a 999 mile radius of my location from QSC, and I do not get any emails from QSC. I did select email alerts also. I'd certainly check them out if I could.

Not exactly inside restaurant but I really like customer impact. They also give 24 hours to submit the report which I really appreciate

Better question: What companies are best for restuarants if you want to get paid with actual money, and not just food?

Not for me. I go on high end restaurant shops for the experience and some exceptional food. Spending an hour or so on a report that I don't mind doing is more than worth the $200 tab.

My thoughts exactly. Even those restaurant shops that pay actual money typically do not pay big enough fees to tempt me. I shop the restaurants where I love the food and want to eat anyway. I love eating out and getting reimbursed rather than spending my after-tax dollars.

I enjoy Mercantile,they have no rotation. Customer Impact lost their great upscale dining restaurant awhile ago, but still a good company. Most have restaurants, I stick to what I know and like...found a new one, but, lips are sealed.

Customer Impact have some casual dining as well as restaurants in casinos

Or you can hold out for $200 meals with $50 fees. That's how I do it. (All by phone or email. Never on job boards.)
