Intellishop CEO Marketing Email - Opinions?

The book looked interesting.

What was the book about? Was it about one person helping other people? That concept is the essence of this forum. The original purpose of this forum is to provide a place where shoppers provide information or otherwise help each other in various ways. Did the book or the e-mail about the book harm anyone? Might it help someone?

Bach is not noise, Madam. (Robert, in Two's Company)
The email was clear that it was such a great book that everyone should have it but gave no information as to what the book is about. Red flag. Sounded like snake oil to me.
If you clicked through, it went to the author's website where you could register to be notified when the book came out. My assumption is that he was trying to show his publisher that there was interest. It's been awhile, but I did sign up for the notification, so I think it must have been financial in nature.

I "reviewed" his email poorly and received a 4 on my report for being overly negative.
Tacky tacky tacky. Low personal standards to be okay with using the plethora of shoppers' emails to send spam. Bad decision making.

Hearing about how intolerant he is, it sort of makes me feel sorry for a scheduler whom I will never work for again because of snottiness....maybe it's the work environment that is causing that, though.
