OP - So sorry to hear about your experience. This shop should not be offered to anyone in its current format.
Have you tried to ask to speak to someone up (mgmt) in the MSC chain about this ? The shop description was very misleading and an outright misrepresentation of what was entailed. They should reimburse you for all expenses related to this shop and make it up to you. Unlikely to happen but I would ask. I don't know how I could ever trust that company again.
It is stories like yours that turn me off to any shop of this kind. It is not worth the effort/time to spend $$$ and wait/hope to get your money back. If I'm going to be home I'd rather do a simple $3,4,5 phone or web shop and be done in 20 minutes.
