What Fujikochan said. I only buy groceries that I would normally be buying and the stores I do without PAD are stores nearby that I already shop at so even if the project payment is only $5 and reimbursement is $9, I’m making $14 for about 30 minutes of work. It takes a lot of planning grocery wise but last week I did 9 shops in two days (3 had PAD) and made $171 because I just split my grocery shopping into 9 different purchases. It was a total of about 8-9 hours of work, when including the time it took to input, and I didn’t drive very far. I do this on the side for a little extra money. Once you do many of them they’re pretty quick and you get to know the stores and the employees which makes it faster. I imagine this is how most people think about it.

Sounds to me like you're doing great.

Don't listen to those who are saying you're not making enough for your work.

The way I look at it is: How many hours would I have to work at my regular job to buy the groceries? Remember, I have to buy groceries with AFTER TAX dollars from my regular job. However, I get that fully reimbursed with NON TAXABLE dollars.

Saving $171 off your grocery bill is admirable, and nothing to ridicule at all.

She spent $81 on groceries, not $171.

And just wow. That's all.
That's great, SoCal. Saved $81 on groceries means she also put $90 in her pocket.

Nothing there to scoff at whatsoever.
Haha, I live in the Mid-West. Things are quite a bit different here than in California. And I quite often get distance pay of $15. Also about two of those hours of work were spent at home on the couch holding my baby while inputting the shops. Pretty sure that’s not something my regular job would allow.

Fellow Midwesterner. We have some teeny tiny stores in some teeny tiny towns that equal big PAD. Things are, indeed, different here.

I live in Mississippi and before Thanksgiving, I had shops left and right. I have a very high rating with Trendsource. Every pay period was always well over $100. PAD was great and I had a scheduler who contacted me with that every week to offer shops that no one wanted. Imagine how upsetting it was when I got a message from her saying she was leaving the company. Now it’s crickets. I see shops on the list constantly getting rescheduled and in the rare event I do get a text, there’s no PAD. These shops sit and sit. I don’t understand. I don’t mind doing the “undesirable” shops especially on the weekend (since I have 3 boys to feed) but I won’t do it for peanuts.

Blkstorm, just call them. They still need you, they just don't know it. When an employee leaves, there's often a period of confusion. Just call them and tell them, hey, I used to do XXX and XXX and XXX, for $$$ each, and I just want you to know I'm still available for those
Yes, too many people work for peanuts in this industry and it makes it harder to earn a living to do this. Trendsource is an excellent company to work for though. But, unless a site inspection is within 10 miles, I will not take it for the $17 offered. In my area (De., Md. and Va.) there are new people taking them at the offered fees (within a 50 mile radius). I really don't understand why, but they are. I get calls from the Source for over 50 mile to up to 200 + They are very easy to work with on PAD's (at least with me, been doing site inspections for over 8 years now). As for being a "shopper", I don't do any for them or actually anyone. The only mystery shopping I do is for Sunoco and Citgo (both are gas stations). I do site inspections and audits.
