Brand New Shopper with IPSOS

I am trying to log in to the site for a shop that is due today. I have the "acceptance email," and it seems as if I will be able to use that link to enter my report, but I still need to log in at some point.

I put in my email...got an error that I have to use login name
I put in my first letter/last name. Got an error that there is a problem with my email in the database (yet, I'm getting the mass emails offering shops from them...?)

I have sent an email to my scheduler, but we all know how quickly schedulers tend to get back to people...

Side Note:
If there is ANYTHING that bugs me the most about MSing, it's that there is a different sign in requirement for each company...with the exception of Sassie and Prophet...but those are different from each other. I'd love to stream line my sign in process smiling smiley It would be so much easier to visit the job boards, etc.

Any tips?

Thanks so much!

Update: Scheduler already got back to me! She changed my password; I'm still not able to log in, but she's working with me!

Have you considered using a password manager? I know Chrome has one built in, so does Safari on Mac, and each remembers your login email/passwords on your phone too. Personally, I use 1Password, which is overkill for just remembering MS passwords, but with any of these services, once you've stored the password once, it should be as easy as a single click to sign in to anything you've signed into before.
I haven't. I've been so paranoid of passwords getting "out," that I don't use anything other than to make a folder for each MSC on my yahoo account and in that folder, I have the original welcome email and password information.

But...that initial email that I got from IPSOS with the login info didn't work. I contacted the scheduler and have heard back, thankfully.

I might have to look into another way to store passwords...thanks for that smiling smiley
I would be more worried about the passwords in my Yahoo email account than some of the other options.

It's just the MSC passwords, but after I sat here and thought about it, I think you might be right!
If you're security-conscious, I'd definitely recommend 1Password. [1password.com] It protects all of your passwords with one master password, which you enter any time you want to sign into anything else. When you think about it, it's no less secure than your current solution, as there is still a single password protecting all of your passwords. (It's just the 1Password password instead of your Yahoo password.) It is paid service, so that's definitely a consideration ($3 a month) but if you use it for ALL your passwords is really pays for itself in the time you save. If you're not interested in paying, there are free alternatives out there

I can also vouch for their security. They keep everything encrypted above industry standards. As a current Software Engineering major I can assure you their security is top-notch.
Hey, I had the same problem logging in, until I realized I had to use the new site ("IShopForIpsos" )....then my login worked perfectly.

I hope this helps.
I resisted using a password manager but finally bowed to the inevitable. I don't know how anybody who is signed up with 100 companies can function without one. I use Bitwarden, which encrypts everything, requires a master password to access, and will generate random passwords if you want it to. I figure it's no worse than having a text file with all my passwords, even if the file is buried in an obscure folder and has a name that has nothing to do with shopping.
My sister has lived at the same address for 35 years.

Addressing a card to her today, and couldn't recall her address to save my life! Remember the street, even the apartment number, but not the street number.

I would probably forget my password to password manager!

Meanwhile, I just keep my password in my binder, along with scheduler's e-mail/phone number, etc., one page for each MSC, in alphabetical order.

I have had too many computers/laptops/phones suddenly, inexplicably, and permanently die to EVER rely solely on tech.
My passwords are also saved, and I log in to many using their "quick auto login" link. I've never had trouble logging into Ipsos.

Live consciously....

Why not use the same UserID and password for all the MSCs? What is the big risk? Its not like your email, SS No. or bank account password. I wouldn't use the same for that kind of account.

Through a spreadsheet for backup. Also, my passwords are similar. For company A it might be "thebestshopperyouhaveA" while company B is "thebestshopperyouhaveB."

As an FYI, a Sassie scheduler told me that she can see your password. So, "screwyouIntellishop" might not be the best choice ;-).

My financial passwords are completely different and stored nowhere on any computer. If someone can figure out to break into my home, choose the room and correct drawer, remember what easy cipher I used to decode, and do this before I figure out I've been their victim, they deserve the $1.87 in my bank account.

I use LastPass, which gets great reviews. There is a free version which works well on a single device. I pay a small fee each year and LastPass then syncs passwords across two PCs, a tablet, and my phone. It uses NSA grade encryption and will generate random passwords if you want or remember any password you may like.

The real advantage of a password manager is that it will sign you in with a couple of clicks. If you sign in to a lot of MSC sites every day, that's invaluable.
