Routes with IPSOS - amber unresponsive

I’ve done a number of shops for IPSOS and noticed that for some shops it’s easy to work with them but for others it’s nearly impossible. The common theme is that if the assigned scheduler is amberdawn at summit scheduling I can count on not being able to contact anyone, set up routes or get assigned shops consistently.

Ipsos has a number of smaller shops for electronics and stuff. I notice that when I apply online it can take days before someone assigned me the shops.

Also if I try to contact the scheduler to set up a route for more out of the way shops I don’t hear back for days. When I do hear something it’s always “can you send me the address” despite the fact that I always include the address in my email requesting the route. The person scheduling is amberdawn at summit scheduling.

As it stands I’m not driving 20 miles for $12. Funny thing is some of the shops I request to fill my route are still on the board.

How do you guys set up routes with IPSOS? Who do you contact because amber is horrible....

If Amber is the assigned scheduler for that shop, as far as I know, you're stuck with her.

My scheduler used to be ulta-responsive, now I wait 3 or 4 days to hear from her. So I feel ya, and I sympathize. I think she spoiled me with a couple years of getting replies within half an hour, LOL!!!

However, one ploy seems to work -- I "forward" the e-mail I sent earlier (I wait 24 hours) and in the "subject" line, I put "May I have the courtesy of a reply?". I have even been known to add "URGENT -- I'm working on a route and need an answer".

It really irks me, too, because I'm their sole shopper for a route that takes me 175 miles from home and fills 4 "orphan" shops on the way there and back. So I have to plan for a day with a minimum of 6 hours drive time, and if I don't get all 4 shops, it's not worth it to me.

And I really do need an answer, because my "filler" shops might disappear if I don't get them scheduled, too.
Oh, and I might add, the schedulers request you put the shop name/location in the "Subject" line of your e-mail, as that way they know right away whether to open your e-mail -- if it's a shop that's hard to fill, and it's in the subject line, they'll open it for SURE.

Some schedulers work for more than one company, and literally get hundreds and hundreds of e-mails a day. Putting the info they need in the subject line really makes their job much easier.

Good luck.

email cindy. She is the most responsive and professional of all the schedulers at Ipsos. She will forward your email to the proper scheduler. I discovered ipsos this year and they have been a good msc to work with.
I agree with the post above that Cindy is great. Very responsive in approving shops and replying to emails. If I see Greg as the scheduler, I don't even apply, because it will take days for approval and all my requests may not be approved even though I am trying to do a route.
Celeste Borden is also a scheduler for them and she is amazing and responsive! Never had an issue with her. I’ve never worked with their other schedulers..
Can Cindy schedule shops that are assigned to another scheduler? Is there someone that you can contact to let them know a scheduler is crap? Is it worth it?

Amber is with summit scheduling not IPSOS itself.

As a side note Bill at IPSOS is great to work with.
You can email Judith at Summit if you want to light a fire underneath her. Of course, it's not going to endear yourself to Amber for the future.

Sanaz not impressed with. Pay was confusing, so I tried to clarify for four easy shops I had. Several emails later, after keying in one of the shops I am working on getting in a second and it prompts new to log back in. I log back in and my shops are gone.
I will stay away from Sanaz. Otherwise there a great company.
I love Sanaz! She just moved over there and I'm sure her previous company is feeling the loss. I'd suggest you consider your negative experience an anomaly. She is professional, friendly, responsive, and wonderful.

Yeah, at this point I sort of dont' care what Amber thinks. Its not like it can get any worse. I have politely asked her for the best ways to arrange routes, contact her and work with her but she pretty much ignores those questions. Judith at summit is her boss?
Judith is the owner at Summit.

I just did a job for Bill C. and he was the nicest and most helpful since I've been working for them...he handles airport jobs now, so I think your stuck with your allocated scheduler...just keep bugging her, I note the holidays seem slow for responses.

It's quite possible that the jobs you want to do will never have bonus amounts on them, so she's too busy to respond. I'm sure that they get tons of questions. Not every question that comes through gets a response. She might not have time to go back and forth with everyone. If she wants you to send the address again, why not send it? Do you want the job to do or not? Minor error on her part. Trust me, I have made plenty of errors in 20 years. I'm not jumping down everyone's throat for stuff like that. Maybe that client only needs a certain percentage of locations filled? Maybe the schedulers have no need for a route? No idea really, but I don't think that you have the right attitude for this.

For example, Anaheim CA is not close to me. I would need a bonus to go there. There are LOADS of shoppers near Anaheim CA who can do those shops for no bonus. Eventually, they will respond. (Of course, if you are bilingual and can go to Anaheim CA, you are in luck - there is a bonus for you.)
Excellent company, I did work for them in Vegas last 10 days and got paid.

Amberdawn, Jenn Gladding, and Kim don't respond for days. The last time i had to contact Amberdawn, she didn't respond all day, even though I emailed her at 9am. I'm a low key @#$%& back and will forward my previous email and say "See the email I have forwarded below, originally sent at (this day and time)". She copy pasted their policy on response time in her response to me, which is 24 hours, plus jargon. Wow! You emailed me back in 23.5 hours! Bravo! Ridiculous...check your email.

I only do periodic work with IPSOS, but have always found Jenn very responsive. My wife does most of her shopping for IPSOS and hasn't had complaints....

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
What you think they just sit around waiting for your email to come through. I am sure that they get plenty of enough emails in a day that it would make my email account pile up when I had my bypass two years ago look like a drop in the bucket.
Once you have built up a positive reputation with Jenn, she will then respond quickly. I'm sure she has it set up so certain people's emails go to a different folder. Took awhile for me to become one of her quick-response ones, but she doesn't deserve to be compared to Amberdawn.

I am doing a couple jobs next week and work with Amy who is responsive to the point of calling to explain a new shop I hadn't done before....she went over everything and so helpful...never had a problem with this company, remember it is the holidays, so patience is a virtue.
