What Do You Do? Editors

I did an evaluation where the car dealer gave me nothing to write about.
The company in question lets it's editors be anonymous.
I did a damn good job and got this

Your evaluation of X for X has been reviewed.

Shop Grade : 5

Comments : Thank you for your report. Four points were deducted because you had to be contacted multiple times for more information. one additional point was deducted because your comments were subjective.

Truth: I got a '6' before I mentioned that I wanted to speak to supervisor. My grade was then lowered to a 5 with nothing added or subtracted.

Pretty petty, huh?

I now have a 5.

I received the exact email 2x for clarification.

"Numerous times" is once multiplied by 2.

Am I getting the feeling that some of the editors are very unhappy people hiding behind anonymity and email addresses?

Rhetorical question. Am I mistaken that many of us would probably all prefer to be do something else unless we're retired...and even then? So why aren't we all acting like a-holes?

It was a bad day, shop, report and feedback. Sleep on it, cello700. Let the anger go. If you bear any responsibility, own up to it. Value it as instruction on how to improve. If not, then decide if you want to continue working with this MSP.
A good ending. I found the edit manager. She was pleased I called, and did not realize what occurred with my grading. I explained everything to her in a slow relaxed voice including the nature of the shop and the reduction of grade. She acknowledged that I did a good deal of work with them, especially the high end shops. She knows who the people were who reviewed.

She said she would take care of it, apologized to me, and indicated she would increase my grade for the shop.

This proves that often times, these editors believe they are operating without supervision and can act in any way they wish.

When you do feel you've been wronged and like me, have a history (intensive but short) of shops, go over the editor's nose to their supervisor.

It may help not only you, but other shoppers who have been subjected to the same behavior.
How did you find the edit manager???

And better yet, how did you get a phone number for her??
I simply called the company and asked for the person who supervised the editors. I then identified myself and indicated that I've done many shops for the company but had a "concern" about one of them relating to an editing issu
Wow - I usually don't have contact phone numbers for some of the companies I work for.

Glad you were able to resolve it! smiling smiley
Well I figure if they're reputable, they'll have some contact number; otherwise communication becomes problematic.

So far, I've been good either with schedulers. Even had a nice conversation with a Kern (KSS) scheduler as we were born in the same city and were about the same age.

Just back from a storage facility shop and have six car parks on Sunday.

So glad I still read as of course each park must have the vehicle remaining for at least 30 minutes.
