Your time would be better spent and not wasted if you checked reviews of msc before shopping for them rather than after the fact. That said I am totally not understanding your post. Are you quitting mystery shopping altogether because one company told you 45 days and then said 4-6 wks which using my math encompasses 45 days and on the shorter end is much sooner? Now you are suing them for being a week late in payment (less than 8 wks is only a week longer than 45 days). It sounds like mystery shopping is misery shopping for you. So this might be the best route to take.
1. I never said I was suing them I've contacted an attorney to see my options. I have that right when I'm told an additional 3-4 weeks to validate my bank and have taken the appropriate steps to contact my bank.

2. After two back and forth replies, my shop history has mysteriously disappeared.

3. I did check reviews and the ones I found were good; the bad ones were said to be a company imitating this company. I also signed up for this company on the word of someone else.

4. I was told two different time frames. 45 days then 4-6 weeks. Now I'm told 3-4 more weeks to validate my bank. And to be clear, 45 days is 6.4 weeks and we're going on 8. Late is late. MSC don't accept late reports right?

5. I don't do anything that makes me miserable. So your rude "misery shopping" comment really wasn't necessary especially since I specifically said I really was into it enough to make it a full time thing.

6. If you choose to let a company play with you & your money, that's your business but I'm truly not the one for it. So you can mind your money and I'll mind mine. ????

How much do they owe you? I can't imagine hiring an attorney over this. The last time I practiced, we were billing at $450/hr. Even if the rates were half, lawyering up would likely make no sense.

GBW can be a pain. They refused to pay me for a completed shop over something that had never been an issue with every other shop I did for them (booking at the dealer directly). Otherwise, payment took months and multiple reminders.
There are literally hundreds of other companies out there.

Don't let one bad experience sour you on what you yourself said you enjoyed doing.

Just keep following up for your payment, in a PROFESSIONAL, polite manner.

Good luck, and keep us posted.
They owe me some hundreds. I did multiple shops in one day. I'm not paying an attorney; I consulted with one that happens to be an associate to weigh my options. As previously stated, my bank says this company has attempted no type of verifications and provided me with the information of who has.

At least I know I'm not the only one

ShoppingMom, see if they can pay you by check. That way, there won't be any issues. Either you get the check or you don't.

Don't let one company ruin your enjoyment of shopping. Most of us have encountered that one MSC that screwed us over. For me, it was Cirrus. They are on my 10-foot pole list.

When I sign up with a new MSC, I perform one shop to test the waters. I don't do any shops that require an outlay of cash. If they pass, then I do more work for them.

GWB is unprofessional and lazy company from the Philippines. I did one shop that was rejected despite me doing it on time, shame because now I can never shop at Cobs knowing how badly I hate that site. They said my shop was late even though I emailed them stating I was having a log in issue. I got a response 3 days later 'resolving' my issue. Not worth the time. The app is even worse, uninstalled it. If you want to get paid, stay away not worth the time, effort and wasting of your own money. I told them to delete my account. They pay you very little, give you instructions that are confusing and wonder why people fail and they have issues recruiting shoppers no matter how much they bonus.

excellent advice that was given to me by a few seasoned professionals back when I first started shopping. To date, I have had to give the heave-ho to 2 MSC's for either failure to pay as per IC agreement & for totally UN-professional behavior toward shoppers. The MSC's I perform shops for now are top notch IMO pay as they said they would & treat the shoppers with courtesy. Don't let a bad apple or 2 ruin your success. Delete them and keep moving.
Sorry to learn about your problem with GBW. I have always enjoyed a good rapport with them. To that end, perhaps Farah at shopperemailusa@gbw.solutions might be able to offer some assistance.

This issue has been rectified, I did as legally advised and magically my shops reappeared on the site. I got a payment date wayyyyyyyyyy beyond what I was told but it is what it is

As quoted you wrote:

“No to of verifications”

That’s what I could not comprehend, obviously.
Hold up. Who is GBW? I looked at the list linked below, and I've been MSing a while, but I don't see a GBW.

I am sorry you think I had a rude response...I would like you to re read what the OP said below...my response to the OP was prior to the OP explaining some of the things said in the original message. Since then there has been a lot of back and forth...Soooo, the OP said below that s/he contacted an attorney. Later on she qualified that to say she is not suing but she just spoke to someone she knows about the case. Her original statement which I responded to led me to believe s/he was actually thinking about or taking actions to sue.
The second paragraph to me sounded like she/he was over reacting to the situation and was totally fed up with mystery shopping. It does not say to me s/he is quitting this company. To me it says s/he is thinking of quitting mystery shopping altogether. This too was later clarified. this statement sounded like quitting all mystery shopping, not just this company : "I was really into mystery shopping. It recently became a full time thing for me and I was averaging $25-$50 an hour the days I was going out. Now I'm just pretty much done. "
I see you are new to the forum. I think your statement was quite rude to me. I am not a rude person. I was trying to help. The op was obviously very frustrating and the original post was what seemed like an over the top reaction. I was not the only one to not think the statements made much sense. Often shoppers just see red at first and write something up that leaves a lot out which is later qualified to fill in the gaps in the original post.

I've contacted an attorney. I'm told it can be difficult due to them not being in the United States but at the least the companies I performed the shops at can be informed that they're not paying as promised.

I was really into mystery shopping. It recently became a full time thing for me and I was averaging $25-$50 an hour the days I was going out. Now I'm just pretty much done. I'm ready to cancel my upcoming shops and delete my shopper email. I can't be bothered with wondering if I'm going to get paid for my time.

Real professional topic heading.....
Maybe rethink if you name a topic GOT SCREWED I can only imagine what your report looked like in print.....

After being told first that I would be paid in 45 days, then in 4-6 weeks after shop date, I'm now being told after almost 8 weeks that my account is being validated. I found this odd since A. Never had this issue with any other company and B. I spoke to my bank who states they will provide in writing that they verify all accounts within 24 hours.
So basically, I wasted my time as I see this company has many bad reviews. And yes I verified that this is the actual company and not one of the copycat fraud sites.
They owe me a nice chunk of change for shops completed that I didn't want to do in the first place but did because they offered a very nice bonus.

@ShoppingMom81 Dont worry about the cranky folks on here. Makes me wonder what they are like in person yikes! Keep sharing and shopping and be yourself. Remember when the Turkeys get you down, fly with the Eagles lol
cynthamarieh looks like you are a new poster too with less than ten posts...
get your feet wet before you decide about the folks on here... we have many years of experience between us.

Well, evidently my reports are deemed appropriate by the MSCs I contract through as all my scores are 10s with the exception of one which is a 9. And that's who pays me so that's the only opionion that I should concern myself with.
I am however rather curious as to why my reports are your concern? You speak of professionalism yet you come to a post 12 days later AFTER the situation was resolved with the sarcasm? Real mature and professional. No need to respond because I won't be checking this thread any longer.
Have a great day :')
You may want to reread what you initially said to me. You were rude and sarcastic more than once & wanted to go back and forth. As far as pointing out my edit, the sarcastic reminder wasn't necessary as the edit wasn't intended to be hidden. I didn't understand why you weren't comprehending, went back and read again what I wrote and realized the typo. So I corrected the grammatical errors as that's what people are SUPPOSED to do when they make them.

You wrote basically a soliloquy going on and on 11 says after the fact about a RESOLVED situation for what? Because you got frustrated with a human that you don't know on a forum because you interpreted what I said incorrectly with a rude attitude to boot?

Where is that necessary? This wasn't even that deep in real life for all the extracurricular shade & nonsense.

There's no need to respond because I'm not about to go back and forth with you. There's no benefit or money in it. Have a great day and happy shopping to you!
