I am expecting a pay day on 1/10 from Marketforce. The website has no pending info. Should I be concerned?

I wouldn't be. I've always received my payment from them on time. The info sometimes is not shown on the site until the 10th.

I worked for them when they were Certified Marketing Services Inc, back in 2004 doing merchandising and they had the worst people to work with. It is nice to know they have not changed, they will be off my list.
Keep in mind junipper that there are different divisions or 'portals' of Market Force. Certified is the 'purple portal' and does not seem to have changed over the years. The 'blue portal' is the old Shop 'n Chek and different folks have different experiences. Mine overall was good with Shop 'n Chek and has been good with the 'blue portal'.

I noticed that too and emailed the help desk and they had no information. Usually you can't access the direct deposit page as it says they are processing payments and this month - nothing. I'm concerned too; I have a lot out from last month and really can't hear any BS of why it isn't here on the 10th as per their direct deposit is worded.
As always, screwed by Market Force. How many people have actually won "An Amazon Gift Card" for a survey "Rushton" sent us? How much do you bet he gets paid to collect that data and there is never a winner.

This is the worst possible month to have a delay in payment. I spent what was essentially Christmas money to complete shops for them last month and am now having to let everything else suffer while they take their sweet ass time.

Back in December, I actually received a $5 amazon gift code for doing the survey. Of course he/they gets paid for gathering the information.

As of 1/10 8 AM eastern, I haven't been paid for the December (Blue Portal) shops.
I just emailed the help desk this is crap plain and simple.

I got a five dollar code once too -whoopee. What I would like however is the money I put out back in my pocket.
Good morning:

While direct deposit users generally receive their payments earlier than shoppers who must wait for checks, that is not a guarantee. We only guarantee payment between the 15th – 20th of the month. We’re sorry to hear you are in a bad position but as per our Independent Contractor agreement, payment is only guaranteed to be sent (either electronically or via paper check) between the 15th and 20th of the month. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Excuse me while I go outside in my pajamas and look for one of my husband's half smoked cigarettes while I cry. I love bounced checks - doesn't everyone? And since WHEN is it the 15th or the 20th?

I'm deflated. Down like 4 flat tires. I knew I shouldn't plan according to an anticipated payment. My mistake.

And for the payment policy. It has become the 15 since they won't pay on the 10th. It will be the 20th if they can't pay by the 15th.

Well, it's time to reschedule all my Marketforce jobs for later this month.
I actually cried. My electric bill bounced.

Do you think I can tell Bank of America that the paydate is now the 20th because I can't pay on the 15th? Of course bleeping not.

Absolutely reschedule them and unfortunately people who are very good to me have to also be rescheduled as I have no cash to go out. Not for nothing the 15th is on SATURDAY, not a business day.

Its been the 10th since I signed up with them; some months when the 10th was on a Saturday, payment was rendered the 9th.
So have they changed their policy on payment? I seem to recall reading the 15-20th on their site a few months back. I have been paid on the 9th or 10th ever since I've had DD with them.

I have responded only to two of them that I was on line and could respond to in less than 5 minutes from the time they were sent. I did get an Amazon gift card for one of them. Certainly if I check my email and the message is 30 minutes old I will not bother as that is definitely "working for free".
To the best of my knowledge they have always mentioned 'mid-month' with the statement that all checks will be issued by the 20th. That they most frequently pay on or about the 10th is a gift, not a responsibility. All bets are off with any company paying early around the holidays. I have a company that normally has a check in my mailbox by the 5th that when I spoke with them about other things on the 6th indicated they were hoping to get the checks in the mail that day. Lots of folks want to take their vacations over the holidays, lots of companies are closed one or more days between Thanksgiving and New Years, lots of time needs to be spent closing out the books for the year to keep the bean counters happy. While you can NEVER count on everything flowing smoothly around a holiday (whether it is Easter, July 4th, Labor Day etc.) the end of the year is always worse.

If ever there was an argument for building a 'shop kitty' you have expressed it clearly. Putting reimbursements back into a revolving shopping account, adding a little fee to the account when you can, is all part of running your business.
Thanks Flash; this is my first year in with this and usually I do. However with the snow and severe weather we have been getting here, it, for lack of a better word.."snowballed". I usually always get paid by check from a few companies the last week of the month, this time it was the end of the 1st week in January. As they were "small potatoes" it didn't bother me that much. But when you have a company that has consistently (since I've been in this business) paid on the 10th it is really a pain this month.

Of course MFI is closed today due to inclement weather which I have to laugh at - we're expecting another 10 to 18 inches of snow here Wednesday. 5" to me is a gift, not a shutdown!!
I grew up in a community where 1/2" of snow was enough to close schools and send cars careening into every telephone pole they could find. I went to school where 36" of snow in 12 hours tied up traffic for about 12 hours until it could be relatively cleared. Different communities require different driving skills and have different means of being able to deal with snow.

In a more normal year my mailbox would have been filled with checks and payments prior to 12/31 as companies tried to jam all possible expenses into the calendar year and reduce their taxes. Evidently 2010 was not such a year as I still have close to $2000 unpaid from the last two months of 2010. None of that is past due yet, so I really can't complain.

I won once a few months ago.
I went to college in New Hampshire and when we got 14 inches of snow once I just blew off class with the assumption that with that much snow it was cancelled. Much to my surprise - they know how to plow up there unlike CT where it seems that two flakes is enough to spark an OMGITZGOIN2SNOWMUSTBUYMILK mania.

Ahhhhh, I know that condition well. Even where I live in the Midwest where snow has always been here, snow always will be here. The OMGITZGOIN2SNOWMUSTBUYMILK is usually followed by EMPTYALLSHELVESOFBREAD-mageddon.
We get that now with tuna, batteries, bread, water, gas etc. when it is HURRICANEISGONNAHITUS!
After my diatribe, I discovered my neighbor won $5 last month. I guess there are winners indeed!
Snow day(s) in the Carolinas. Yesterday, based solely on forecast, schools and churches announced closings. Many businesses weren't expected to open and didn't. We got about 6" of snow. Tonight, it's coming down as freezing rain and sleet and will be in the low 20's. An inch or more of black ice will form overnight. Tomorrow, everything is closed again.

The Carolinas have no snow plowing equipment. Most people don't have four wheel drive vehicles. The States pre-treat the highways and interstates as much as budgets allow.

I've lived in northern States where 6" was an expected occurrence. When you know you may not be able to get your car out of the driveway, you go to the store and buy up all the milk, bread and eggs - or beer and chips.

The shopping kitty account does indeed need to be chubby. Too many MSPs pay later than anticipated, even if within their stated terms.

Unfortunately I missed the liquor store cut off for tonight; its on the morning list for tomorrow. With the amount of snow we are getting and the fact that I am also picking up Just Dance 2 for the Wii (to play when when we take a break from Beatles Rock Band!) adult beverages are going to be needed.

Oh and yes I bought juice boxes for the kids too; something has to appease them while they are hanging out with their friends when all the mom neighbors and I take over aforementioned Wii!!
Buy yourself something really nice, Shop. It's nice to know somebody who has won one of their prizes..........
The one time I won one I just put it towards the 50 pack of K-cups that I get monthly (50 K-cups 17.85 with free shipping and another 5 bucks off). I was happy.
