Maritz CX bidding process

My first shop for them (gas station) went so well, I bundled 4 more and made a bid. It's been a week and I haven't heard anything. How long does it usually take? Do they tell you if they reject your bid? Do they hold out for a lower bid until closer to the deadline?

You wont hear back unless accepted or if a counter offer is given. Early in the month shops are not as urgent if it was this month you might hear back still.
I have found out that if they do not get back with you in two days resubmit the bid. If the are trying to get them done the will counter offer. This is general 75% of what the think the want to give. If you have given them a fair bid then stick to your guns. I have made this mistake and lowered the bid and just broke even on the expenses ( 2000 mile route)
Dang! 2000 miles? Did you drive to China? But really, that's a helluva route. Congratulations!
I always just call them. When I'm working on routes, I normally am working on something for next week, so I can't wait 2 or 3 days for a response.

On the phone, they are SO helpful. They'll just tell you "No, we are not offering incentives at this time. Do you want us to call you when we do?"

Heck, yes.

And I have some very very funny stories about Maritz....but can't share them without violating ICA, darn it!
