Is Ipsos Going Out of Business?

Does anyone know what's happening with Ipsos?

Does anyone know what's happening with their USA site www.IShopForIpsos.com where I signed up and through which I applied for, submitted and got pay-reports for my shops?

Since March 2019, they have not been approving any of the shops I applied for. These are shops I successfully completed before and got paid regularly, on time, and accurately twice a month on the 15th and 30th.

I had applied for some shops where I was well experienced as well as some shops that would have been new to me.

Does anyone know why the number of open opportunities posted on that site has significantly dropped? As of this afternoon it shows only 1105 nationwide.

As of this moment, I see 5,917 opportunities nationwide... I see shops listed for all the typical clients.

Have you tried to email your scheduler?

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
I'm doing one for Ipsos in Vegas and another under ISS May 1st. with no problem.

Live consciously....
5881 shops listed nationally right now. This is the URL I use: [ipsosus.shopmetrics.com]

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I did 24 shops for them so far in April. I still see 6 shops for the 25 mile radius for my zipcode remaining for this month.
as of now 5551 shops nationwide. I have done a lot these past few months for them. Perhaps you did something that made them prefer not to work with you anymore. There are plenty of fish in the sea thou.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Holy Cow.

I'm doing great if I do 20 shops in a month -- for a variety of MSCs!!!!

I also see over 5000 shops available. I find that typical this time of the month. Liz
I live in a small city in the midwest of about 250k people...granted, I can drive 20 minutes in any direction and it's cows and farmland, but there's enough going on here to stay busy. There are bonuses for rural towns with small populations nearby. I also have merchandising gigs and product retrievals for companies that pay me drive time and mileage, so I pick up shops near those areas when doing them. I can do 100 shops a month without much difficulty.

One shop within 30 miles for me but there's 5800+ open opportunities on the job board.

Shopping the South Jersey Shore
I have my search parameters set on 200 miles.

It's not unusual for me to look 300 miles out, in order to find shops.
OP is it a certain government shop you were applied and werent assigned? Do you see any of them? I think ive been blocked from those, completed about 100 LY. Those schedulers can stop flooding my email begging for stuff they need completed cause Im not doing any favors.

LOL No kidding.

I search further then my parameter is set when I get on, because I always get shop offers that would take me 4 hours to get to, even though they're only 30 miles as the crow flies and I'm clearly not going on a 70 minute ferry ride to do an "easy and fun shop" lol

I did 19 shops this month, half of them are approved so far. I see 5514 available right now. No troubles on my end. Hope you get it figured out!!

That seems like an oxymoron.

"Let me offer you my definition of social justice: I keep what I earn and you keep what you earn. Do you disagree? Well then tell me how much of what I earn belongs to you - and why?” ~Walter Williams
What, that 250k is a small city? It's not a town and it's not a metropolis. I clarified the size of the city by stating an estimate of how many people live in it. It could have been a small city of 150,000 people or it could have had 300,000 and still been small.
I would definitely say not out of business, considering they just had a huge "merger" with GFK. Now that May shops are coming online, I can see over 11k in my area. I would contact the scheduler and see if you can get an answer...
I just got the email that they did merge with GFK. They are now IPSOSUS ( I think ). Hope this is a good merger.
GFK and IPSOS did not merge. Last year, GFK sold some of its business lines to IPSOS. GFK remains not only in business but a major competitor of IPSOS in areas outside those operations.

They emailed shoppers literally saying they merged.

"Have you heard the NEWS?

It’s TRUE. GfK Mystery Shopping has merged with Ipsos Mystery Shopping!"

There is a substantial legal and economic difference between saying that "GfK Mystery Shopping has merged with Ipsos Mystery Shopping" and saying that "GfK and IPSOS have merged." The former says that two operations operations merged, not two companies.

1. IPSOS purchased the GfK Mystery Shopping operation from GfK
2. IPSOS merged two programs which it wholly owned, GfK Mystery Shopping and IPSOS Mystery Shopping into one.
GfK is Germany's largest market research institute, and the fourth largest market research organization in the world, after Nielsen Company, Kantar Group, and Ipsos. IPSOS bought a PIECE of GfK and merged it into a division of IPSOS. They did not buy all of GfK. Read what you quoted, "GfK Mystery Shopping has merged with Ipsos Mystery Shopping!" It does not say GfK has merged with Ipsos. It says, "GfK Mystery Shopping has merged with Ipsos Mystery Shopping!"

What might I be doing wrong? When I looked at open opportunities just now first without a filter then filtering for a 400 mile radius, I get a grand total of 1490 opportunities.

It looks nationwide to me, my nation being the USA.

They have almost 10,000 shops nationwide. Search for shops with a 25-mile radius of your zip code.
