IPSOS just made my day!

Just got the email about their new payment schedule. Truly, if they can do it, there really is no excuse for these companies that take 60-120 days to pay.

I already do 50-100 shops a month for them but this will encourage me to take on more.

I am so excited for the quicker pay too! They already paid faster than most, and this is even better! Love their quick, easy shops too

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley

Post removed as it violates the Forum guideline which states, "Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies". Additionally, it is an ICA violation to name both the MSC and client.

I was just going to thank them for a great opportunity via the shops I just completed for them.
Literally made my day. I think most of their shoppers just moved them to the top of the list smiling smiley
I like the even faster pay. 2x a month was one of the fastest as it was weekly is by far the fastest for a traditional msp. I just hope they don't use it as an excuse to lower shop pay.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I especially appreciate their reason for doing so, "because that's what partners do". Bravo, Ipsos! I appreciate an MSC that seeks to treat shoppers as partners, not adversaries or commodities. Let's hope that faster pay is a trend that catches on in the industry as a whole.

Alas... I do not share the excitement. As noted above, this will drive more shoppers to work with them more frequently, which means there will be more shoppers vying for the same jobs. They already had an influx of shoppers recently as they merged with a different MSC. My concern is that this will leave fewer shops at the end of the month that offer substantial bonuses....

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Interesting. If paying more frequently allows them to become MORE profitable, this could be a game changer.

Surely I am NOT the only shopper willing to do a shop for less because I'll have the pay for it next Friday?

I charged HS Brands $50 for a fast food shop the first week of April. It won't pay until July.

If I knew I would be paid literally the following week, I would happily do the same shop for $20 -- plus reimbursement.

I see this as an absolutely brilliant move, the type of thing an industry leader would do.

I personally think this is AWESOME.

And I hope it turns out to be the right move for IPSOS.

(Sometimes brilliant ideas don't work, LOL!)
It doesn't make me more likely to shop for them. I consider the time, the driving, and the pay. Period. I don't care if it comes in 6 weeks instead of 2. I am going to need money just as badly in 6 weeks so in my opinion that's a wash.
I'm very happy for those of you who consider it a game changer. It is a good move, that's for sure.

But if I have a choice of an $11 shop that will be paid next week and a $40 shop that will be paid next month, I will take the $40 every time.
The way I look at it, the sooner I get my reimbursement back, the sooner I can reinvest it in the next job.
This shows that Ipsos is passing along the efficiencies of operating in a digital environment. There really is no reason in the digital world we live and work in for any company to hold on to pay for over 30 days after completion.
Their app works great in the field once you understand it. It allows the shopper to submit the report quickly and cleanly. Don't forget, there are costs associated with fighting with clunky shopping sites that fail to save your work, are fraught with error messages and failures. No doubt, this technology is helping to make Ipsos and its shoppers faster and more effective.
The other thing this change suggests is that they will review and approve their shops in a timely manner, too. Having to continually check back to see if a completed shop has been approved or needs a response to an editor also decreases our efficiency. We'll soon see how this shakes out.
I don't do a lot of shops that require any type of investment. I'd rather see a larger bank balance at the end of the quarter. Different strokes for different folks, that's what makes this type of work so great!

I will take a $20 job that pays next week over a $50 job that pays in 90 days.

I will use that $20 to make another $20 several times before I get that $50 payment.

It DOES make it more likely I will check their site more often; we'll see if it means I actually do more shops for them.

Ok, so has anyone figured out what the new pay schedule is going to be? What day of the week? When will they sweep your shops for the pay period?
One thing I have noticed...I had a large number of shops in my shop log when this announcement was made...they have all been completed, and the majority are still waiting to be edited... hmmmm.
Do you guys know how long they take to validate a shop? I submitted since 6/7/2019 about 6 shops and only 2 have been validated. Its going on 11 days now.
The current link as of right now to Ipsos payment information (FAQS) is not providing any information about payments. Perhaps this is because of the change in frequency. Does anybody know the pay period based on the "end date"?

There are two iShopForIpsos log in options. One is for Shopmetrics and the other for Sassie. Why two? I know that Shopmetrics and Sassie are two different templates. Is that a way to put it? Am I wrong? There is a third that doesn't work with my password and user ID.

I have asked Ipsos about it, but they have not responded.

If fact, I seldom get responses from MSCs when I have technical questions. I have asked schedulers to provide me a contact for their respective tech departments, with no luck.

Shopmetrics is the IPSOS platform. I believe Sassie had to be added due to the takeover of Gfk. Gfk shops are still reported on Sassie according to an email I received today

Has anyone had problems with passing some of the certification exams? Mine will not reset, even after I log out,log back in,(using either a desktop or mobile phone app), it brings up the previous answers, even if I change 1-2 answers it still gives me the same score(88%) . I have done the certification "green" tests so many times it is ridiculous. It was reset once by the scheduler but still the same results.

I also have had a few problems with inputting a few shops (I had passed those certification tests),they wont submit, them I am late, the coordinator was contacted but all I got was " it is very clear in the agreement that you signed that the client requires them to be in within_____ hours of the shop. You should have called me ASAP." She forgot that I did notify her. Next time I wont hesitate to call her at 11:30p.m.

I see, thank you!
As of today, I have two separate payment cycles in the queue. (Swept off my list of shops completed) I am assuming they will pay out each Friday, but I'm just guessing.

This was good news, but I'm not likely to take less to do one of their shops because I'll get paid faster. But it will make me more likely to check their job board in a more timely fashion!
