Being blown off by Coyle?
Keep applying. When they send out emails, reach out to the schedulers. Admittedly some are more responsive than others but you'll get something soon. You could also be in a very competitive area.
Another thing worth considering is how/when you apply.
The end of the month - especially June - can be pretty stressful for schedulers and they may not like to work with somebody new.... When you next apply, apply for a shop at the beginning of the month and request it for a day or two after you send in the application. You can follow-up the application with an email to the scheduler.

Me too. After reading this board for awhile I decided they were apparently a giant PITA and haven't cared since.

I do shops for Coyle and I like them. I mostly do phone shops that I would not recommend because I think the pay does not match the work that is involved. I would advice to keep applying and eventually you will be assigned a shop or more. It also depends on the scheduler. I wouldn’t give up. Also, for many shops, it takes really long time to get assigned. Many shoppers are not happy with time it takes to schedule shops.
I was getting assigned many shops, scoring consistent 100's, and now I am getting ignored. I have done thirty or forty shops for them, so it's frustrating. They choose when they reply. I asked a simple question and never got a reply, which is common.

I've been working with them for years. They've sent me to some incredible properties for assignments, and by that I mean, incredible bucket list, with once-in-a-lifetime experiences at Instagram-worthy properties, but not all of my emails to them get a reply, and not all of the assignments I apply for are assigned to me. It seems that they'll respond to you when and IF they want to respond to you. Don't take it personally. If they don't respond, I figure it's not going to happen and I simply move on.
Also, bear in mind that they have thousands of opportunities/assignments - currently there are over 2500 open opportunities. It's a very dynamic process. There are lots of moving parts and lots of applicants for those five-star properties/high end dining assignments/luxury travel projects/cannabis retail assignments, AND very few schedulers.

Maybe that is why they are slow in responding. Could it be that the schedulers are grabbing those Cannibis shops for themselves and that is preventing them from quick responses. I did one shop for them that paid $15 with no reimbursement..It took me hours. After reading about the long involved reports on this forum I decided to not even try to get the bigger shops.
Kristi, I'm glad to see your post because I am getting the same treatment. When I first joined Coyle five years ago, I was a newbie to shopping and yet I was getting 3-4 shops each and every month from them. I don't think my reports were that good then. They are much better now, yet as I gain more experience as a seasoned shopper, I am being ignored and getting very little assignments the last year. I also wrote and asked, no response either. Some assignments, like you said, went unassigned. Wonder what's really going on with Coyle? Do the shops they listed really exist?

Interesting as I have had schedulers from other companies tell me occasionally that they have done some assignment or other from their company. I just assumed all the msc allowed, or maybe even encouraged, that.

Hahaha, this conversation kind of leads back to the employee vs. IC thread. The person who schedules those shops is an employee and not allowed to take assignments, in order to accentuate that distinction...which is a big part of why I am no longer that employee.
I'm talking about the over-water bungalow shops, BTW. I wouldn't quit a job just to take a dispensary shop
It's my understanding that the scheduler is just overwhelmed right now since it's end of the quarter and there are hundreds of assignments in distant areas that nobody wants, and they are all due by end of June. Yet another reason that job is so difficult. I don't think she's ignoring anyone in particular.

Sucks that they don't have a skilled professional shopper who can fly anywhere in the world free who just happens to be spending the last 10 days of the quarter sitting at home who might would have done some of those for them.

I think they are betting more on locals with a decent command of English to complete the shops, and that's a mistake. If you want to travel deep into China for $50 with no overnight stays covered I'll be happy to forward your name.

Ha. Thanks for the offer! While I often help out companies that treat me well by doing less profitable (and occasionally money losing) shops, they long ago decided I was not good enough for them. I have in turn decided they're not good enough for me.

Well I can't complain now, they just gave me 4 of the shops I wanted!! Yay!

I paid for my own hotel in the center of the city and did a few shops a day. The ones I took were in Bangkok, so rooms are extremely cheap by US standards and most major hotel clients are right off the public transit system, so you can get to them cheaply and easily.
You can get a hotel room, transit and food for under $100 per day easily in that city, so taking two $50 assignments a day will pay your expenses...but you're not making a lot of profit. If you lived there and were moonlighting as a shopper, a single assignment would pay more that a full days wage. I'm friends with some hotel staff there and they make about $26/day working a 10-hour shift at the front desk.
@LindaM the ones I took were easy to schedule in comparison to what's left.
They have single shops in São Paulo, Brisbane and Changchun all due in the next week. Anyone want to go to Changchun, Zhengzhou or Dalian for a catering sales visit? That will get the scheduler's attention....
