Banking info (Transit Number, Bank Number)

I'm working on getting signed up with more companies and some of them are asking for the bank transit number and a bank number.
It says the bank transit number is 5 digits. The bank number is 4 digits.

I've tried to find those numbers for my bank but all I'm coming up with is the routing number (and my account number of course).

Anyone else ever come across this?

I'm sorry....I'm in the US.
When I was filling out the information on the company's website it asked Canada or United States so I assumed that they do shops here in the US. But then I came across this and now I'm wondering?

I'm sorry if this is something I should know but I've never come across it before :-)
The transit number is 9 digits. Your account number varies in length. Send everything you can to Paypal .and don't give them bank info at all. Maritz , ath and others periodically offer shops that pay you to open an account. Do that when one comes around, give out the numbers for that account, and leave your "real" bank accounts out of it.
I like PayPal, but others disagree, like Honny Brown. She had a bad experience with PayPal and prefers direct deposit. IMO, direct deposit is better because it's faster than PayPal. I like PayPal better than check, though. I have had checks get lost in the mail or delivered elsewhere, damaged, or even sent to another shopper elsewhere in the US with the same name as mine.

I'm signed up both ways with PayPal and direct deposit with various companies. I've just never come across that type of wording. I figured transit would be routing and that's what I entered but then I figured I better double-check because I want to make sure it's right if I complete jobs with them.
I finished everything else and will look for a contact to check with them. Thanks all.
One the face of the check are a series of numbers. The numbers the MSC requires are on the bottom of the check. The back routing numbers appear on the bottom left and next to those series of numbers to the right is you account number with the bank. They should not require more than those 2 numbers.

I also have a checking account at a different bank then my regular one, just for MS shopping.
Yes, that and having a separate email address for shopping. Both fabulous ideas. I wish I would have thought of that back in 2001.
