Business Evaluation Services

Have others done work in the last 3-4 months for this company? I did a shop in November and another in December. Their payment FAQ says they pay in 45-60 BUSINESS days, to allow the client time to review the shop. Today is day 56, and no response to emails, no payment info. Any thoughts? I did email the contact person, and it's not a huge amount of money, fairly easy form and submit process- but no replies so far.

I have done a bunch of shops for them, but I believe it has taken closer to 90 days to get paid if I am not mistaken.

Yes, you have to count BUSINESS days. No holidays, no weekends. I just checked, and I was paid for a May shop in August. Sounds long, but with the aforementioned calculation, it was correct. That said, this is why I'm not anxious to shop for them again.
oh wow- no wonder they pay so well. I'll be taking them off the list of "regulars." I did the shop Nov. 3rd, and counting M-F only, I think that makes today day 56. I hate to have to chase down a check.

I've been paid for every shop that I have done by their pay standards. I hate waiting for the check too, but Atleast they are paying. I would only do shops that do not require reimbursement.60 business days is almost as long as 90 days...uhh...are they the slowest paying company??
They didn't used to be that way. Years ago they were the very first company I worked for and although the payment time seemed very long, since it was my first shop and I was anxious to see the check, in reality I think it was only a few weeks. I have little to no interest in waiting months for payment and having them as the last outstanding item for the month.

So far, yes, they are the slowest paying company of any I'm currently working for, except Intellishop, who I also won't work for anymore. (I did an oil change shop and brake inspection shop for them, both cost lots more than they stated, and the place damaged my van and I am currently negotiating with "the place" through BBB to cover the repairs.) Even if they pay fairly, if they state 45-60 days and don't pay in that time frame, and won't answer any email inquiries, I am going to cross them off my list. I am working enough each week not to deal with it.

I've found that they do pay within that time frame (but again, business days), but like you, it's too late for my taste. There's one shop I might do again, just because it pays pretty well and doesn't require reimbursement. Just FYI, this is a company I've found to be much more responsive on the phone than through email.
I used to do some shops for BES, but found them to be one of the slowest paying mystery shopping companies. Also, their website is strange and difficult to navigate. I still check them out to see if anything good is available nearby, but haven't done anything for them in quite some time.

Steve... smiling smiley
Fresno, CA - and shopping all over the middle part of the state!
Anybody have any recent experience with these folks? I see 'rich' shops being posted by an outside scheduler on the job board but have too many memories of folks trying to deal with the company itself to get paid in a timely fashion and/or paid period.
I haven't done anything recently, but I had no problem being paid. However, they were VERY slow. Those 45 "business" days really stretch out the payment period.
I do shops for them all the time. I will wait for my money because the reports are wicked easy. I've never not gotten paid from them. I have 2 $50 shops for them on Friday. But, I certainly will not be counting the days till I get paid. It will be a "surprise" when the check come smiling smiley I take other jobs in the area from a fast paying MSC so my gas is back in my car within 2 weeks, then I can afford to wait on them.

I've even gotten paid on a shop that I made a mistake on and received a free oil change due to service issues. ( I didn't hide my dissatisfaction as well as I should have ) They paid me the fee and paid for the oil change as they told me it had been approved. They are ok in my book.
I used to work quite a bit for them, but now refuse to do the high end P/R and wait that long for pay. They always paid and I never had a problem, but the wait for $$ isn't duable any longer. I still respect them as a viable MSC.

Live consciously....
I have recently done many shops for them. My question: Do they break up one months jobs and pay a two or three shops at a time? I did about 6 or 7 in one month but got paid for 2 or 3. Is that the usual way?
I love them and my scheduler for BES (she's an independent scheduler) is one of the best in the biz.

My only concern is that I recently received payment for a number of shops I did for them during October, but not for all of the shops during that month. I'm a bit worried as it's quite a chunk of change. Not exactly sure who I should contact as technically BES is not late in payment - in fact they're early. ...but I don't want too much time to pass in the event they actually overlooked the shops and an error has been made. What to do???
Just got word that payment is coming - and earlier than expected. Gotta admit I'm very happy w/BES. They pay generously and seem to treat shoppers w/respect. A rare and wonderful thing!
