Bob's correction--Although this is a matter of semantics, I posted(SAID), not says, that SS PAID, not pays, me at the 75 day mark. Will that continue? Who knows? My last assignment, 10/08, was a delicious steak, fries, salad and draught. For that job I will receive a full reimbursement of $25 + a fee of $20. When will it arrive? Who cares! I have been with SS almost 14 years, never once having to send a request for money.

I always consider every aspect of a job, including, but not limited to, the time until payment, money advanced, travel, report, fees, requirements and shop time. If the work for SS were unacceptable to me, I would quickly burn the bridge.

Most shoppers should expect to receive payments/reimbursements for their October shops at the end of January. Perhaps they will reimburse you a month earlier though.

@wrosie - That's his shorthand for Service Sleuth, which HS Brands subsumed.

Thanks, I actually like HS Brands and I've never really noticed the time period of payment. I just know I've always been paid.

Agreed, which is what this thread will let them know.

This forum will also give them a wealth of other knowledge I wish I had known when I first started.

I did not get paid for my May 1 shop with HS Brands until the end of August- FOUR MONTHS later. Having contractors wait this long for payment is completely unacceptable in any industry. Nor does this disturbing delay comply with HS Brand’s own written statement regarding payment. All this suggests serious internal financial issues. Shopper beware.

MSF, thank you for increasing my vocabulary. Until reading your reply to Rosie, I had never either heard or seen in print the word SUBSUMED.

As to my use of SS, I am guessing I subconsciously thought that while the corporate name was/is HS Brands, the MSC is/was Service Sleuth. In checking my page, the name Service Sleuth does not appear anywhere; obviously, I missed the change. Does anyone know when that occurred?

Agreed.

May shops were paid at the end of August.
June shops were paid at the end of September.
July shops should be paid at the end of this month.
