Disappearing Ipsos shop?

I was assigned an Ipsos shop last week; I had purchased the necessary materials and was on my way to do the shop, opened the app, and it was no longer there. I was unable to find contact information other than an email address so I used that, and received a response two days later stating that the shop had never been assigned to me to begin with. I am cautious not to write the shop down on my calendar or go through hassle or expense until the shop is confirmed to be showing in assigned status. Has anyone else had their Ipsos shops disappear at the last minute?

That's weird. Never heard of that before. I have heard of them cancelling shops (happened to me once, shop was 100 miles away, they cancelled it while I was driving to the shop, and I got the e-mail that it was cancelled after I returned home), but I've never heard of one that was actually assigned just disappearing. You couldn't have printed out anything on the shop if it was never assigned. Just weird.
If it wasn't automatically assigned when you apply then it would disappear if it was given to another shopper. When i apply for a shop if it is not automatically assigned I write it down with a question mark so I know it is not assigned yet.

Did you ever get an email that you were definitely assigned the shop? The problem may be the same one that I experienced when they changed to their new system - a misunderstanding of how my "page" shows. Unless something is actually assigned, your "log" is actually the application page, not the assigned shops page, so what you thought you were assigned was your applications instead. I have now gotten into the habit of hitting the "home" button when I first log in and I haven't run into that issue since.
Yes, I hit the Home button and make sure I'm on the "Assigned" tab before I consider anything official, I don't even write anything on my calendar until it appears there. Next time I'll be sure and save a screen shot!
I have the opposite problem I accepted a job with them that required a certain credit card then I discovered I do not have that card like I thought .I have emailed them no less than five times explaining and asking them to remove this job as I cannot do it.They send me a email every day telling me the shop is overdue .It is now a week overdue .How do I get this removed from my board?.
Carolforreal I tried to cancel one of those shops shortly after accepting it due to illness. I don't know if they are still the same but because they were self assign they didn't have a scheduler. I emailed everyone I could think of with no reply from the MSC/scheduling Co. except people saying to contact the scheduler. Finally about two or three weeks later the job was removed and I quit receiving the late submission warnings. Good luck.
The scheduler said it was assigned to someone else. She then asked where I had seen it and I explained which tab, that yes it was actually showing as assigned, etc. - and I never heard from her again.
I had three shops disappear the day that I was to complete. This was a few years back when they had acquired a large contract and I just figured that there was some confusion in assigning the shops. It did leave a bad taste for me and I have avoided working for them since then.
Welcome to the wonderful land of Ipsos....the MSC that is like a ghost.

I had the same situation happen to me. I was assigned 6. The day I was to begin I went in to review again... GHOSTED. I emailed the scheduler. She never responded . I did not bother to contact further because earlier this year I had multiple shops. I realized after submission I put one incorrect photo in one of the reports. I emailed never got answer. I then found out through internet the info and called directly and left a message for the scheduler. It was the weekend and I wanted to reach them for first thing Monday morning communication to return to me. I got reprimanded through a very Curt email. I was blasted for calling to leave a message. Told never to contact them that way again. Then blasted for putting in the wrong photo. I responded mistakes happen. I caught mine as soon as I hit send. I made steps to correct. I've been a Shopper 29 years. It happens. ...
Happened to me about 2 months ago. I was assigned a high paying bank shop and even had the email to prove the assignment. Later the next day I realized it was off my board. I messaged the three schedulers listed and one did respond. She attempted to infer that I was not actually assigned the shop, but I provided her with the email proof. She did not get back to me after that. An apology would have been appreciated.

I think that they removed the shop from my board and gave it to another shopper because it was well-bonused. I have no proof of that. It has left a bad taste in my mouth. I've still conducted some work for them but if another negative event happens I will probably cease conducting shops for them.
