BARE “Billing Invoice” email from Adrienne Taylor with pdf file - Legit or Virus?

I received an email today from ataylor@bareinternational.com (Adrienne Taylor) whom I know is a real person at that MSC.

However, with the subject line of “Billing Invoice.” and a .pdf file titled “BARE 2020 Statement of Work,” it seems very spammy.

Anyone else get this? I’m not clicking on the link to the .pdf file until I either receive confirmation that it’s legitimate- or I’m on my ex-husband’s computer.

It seems to be a virus or something of that kind - I received the same email, although I did not do any shops with Bare last month. When I tried to open the document, my Chrome browser turned red and I received a "Phishing alert" that the website is not safe.
I got it and tried to download one of the attachments. What opened was a picture that I already had on my desktop. I am about to run my AVG anti-virus scan.

Yikes, Wales!

You know, it's so easy to just delete the ones from "Chase", "Bank of America", "CVS", etc, when you know you have NEVER even been inside that business, moretheless deserve a reward or gift card or whatever. But it gets confusing and difficult when you get an e-mail from a business you DO business with!!!

I would be tempted to e-mail BARE direct and ask them if they sent such an e-mail, or check the BARE website and see if there is a warning there about the current spam. If not, I'd let BARE know about the e-mail.

Sent Bare an email.
AVG scan says no malware or virus detected.

cease,
I regularly get phishing emails that are supposed to look like they come from any one of the several banks where I have accounts. But, I never open those. I go to the bank site to check there for messages. Nada.

Just came here to see what it could be. I was warned by Norton virus that it was not safe and it is a known phishing exedition.
I forwarded the email to the email contact address listed on the BARE site. Will let you know if I get a response.

If the email is malicious, clicking on the link while on another computer will still give the sender access to your email. Contacts, content, etc. will be vulnerable. If you right-click on the link you should be able to see the sender's IP address. If it is different in any way, even one character, delete the whole thing. But, if you have opened the email, it is possible that you have already introduced a virus. Create a restore point on your computer before you do anything questionable, like installing a new program or making changes in your system. Hope all is well.
I wondered, as well. Since I haven't shopped with Bare for a few months, I didn't click on the attachment. The email looks legit.
I got one and I haven't shopped with Bare in nearly two years. No chance it's legit.
Bare doesn't send invoices. That's another red flag.

I would open it on my ex-husband's computer also!

Never mind, Adrienne said she was hacked.

I find it particularly distressing that we as a group are targeted by scammers.

Perhaps it's because we are often willing to mindlessly perform tasks that to others may seem ridiculous.
