Has ACL changed it's payment time?

I am used to getting a check on the 4th Monday of the month after I completed a shop (so paid for November shops in December) but last month the check did not come until 5 days after that, and it's not here this month either. Did they change their payment schedule?

Last month, the Thanksgiving holiday, plus regional bad weather, delayed mail. I just looked at my event history. It shows that December checks were to be mailed on 12/23. Have you checked your events history to see if it says something different? As soon as a report is accepted, the date for outgoing payment for it shows up in your event history.

They (ACL) are super reliable in my 14 year experience. But USPS may not be as speedy in late November and December as we would prefer.

I agree that they are reliable. Which is why it surprises me that the last two checks have not come on the 4th Monday like the other ones have over the past few years that I have shopped for them. It's okay, just wondered if this is the new normal for them.
ACL's reliability is steady. In my area, the USPS is the variable.

I just checked their policy this morning because I wondered where my money was too. My Sep pay arrived Oct 28, my Oct pay arrived Nov 29. So I expect my check in a few more days. Hope that helps. For Dec shops, payment is dated 1/27/20. So I think we're a little early! [insight.a-closer-look.com]

I kind of feel like I didn't make my point, but first I want to say that I know for certain that I will be paid. They are just about the most reliable company out there when it comes to payments. However, whenever I had a shop payment due from them, I got it on the day that was listed on their site. For October shops, it was November 25th, and based on previous experience, I should have gotten my check that day. I got my check on the 30th. I have not yet received my check this month for November shops, which show as paying on Dec 23.

It seems like they have changed from sending checks so that the will hit the mailboxes on the date posted to their site. I think they must now be mailing the checks on the date posted, rather than mailing them early enough for them to arrive on the date posted. Again, not worried about getting paid, just wondered if they had changed their payment process.
Yes! I know what you're talking about. They say checks will be mailed on the 4th Monday of the month, and for awhile my check was arriving on the 4th Monday (which clearly meant that it must have been mailed the Friday or Saturday before). For Nov and now December, my checks haven't arrived on the last Monday, and now I have to wait a couple days as well. But as other people have mentioned, it might just be the holiday post office "traffic." I guess we will see in January.

My Informed Delivery shows the check being delivered today.

Honny,, thank you. That's nice to know. Maybe mine will also arrive today. It probably is coming through the same regional sorting center as yours.

Is ACL a good company to work for and how picky are they on the reports? Are there a lot of narratives?
They are a very good company. Their narratives are usually short. Be sure to say something about any negative answer. You will not see their better paid jobs until you have done a number of their reimbursement-only jobs with high quality reports.

Like any other MSC, some love them; some hate them. I LOVE them becasue their schedulers will move almost any shop date to accommodate a shopper, especially an established one that they are confident will not flake. Also, I used their simple hotel shops to gain a TON of hotel rewards points to use for free hotel nights each year!!

ACL had turned out to be one of my favorite companies. The schedulers are accessible, friendly, and accommodating. I mainly do hotel and restaurant shops for them. I'm fine with them not paying a fee for most of those jobs because I covet credit card and hotel points. I'll be honest, at first I thought they were picky but having done more work for them and other companies I no longer think they are. You just have to answer each question in full and make sure you have an explanation for any 'no' answers. Lastly, they pay like clockwork.
