Which companies no langer exist?

Each year companies are absorbed or go out of business. I would live to delete them from my list of companies where I look for shops.
Please feel free to list those so my time will be better used looking for shops with companies that are in business.

Hmmm...How can a shopping platform absorb an MSC? Or do you mean that you see some of their former shops posted by other companies who use the iSS platform?

Service Sleuth was always Howard Services.

I am feeling free to find the above sentence quite full of entitlement and rubbing me the wrong way.

Please feel free to do some of the housekeeping around my house so that I may concentrate on finding the shops to fill my routes with smiling smiley

OMG I was thinking the same thing. Great minds ....
I was turned off by the implication that their time was worth more than ours as well, which was why I suggested that since 'obviously' the OP has been having frustration finding companies no longer were in business, perhaps they would share THEIR knowledge since they are asking for OURS. But it still could be a good opportunity to get our list cleaned up for the benefit of current and future shoppers.
Confession: I had gone through the entire list to apply to companies that I had missed so far. There were quite a few that were M I A and I was too lazy to make a list or go back through it after. Sorry guys.
Two candidates for removing from the Official List:
1. Measure Consumer Perspectives
2. Monterey Mystery Shopping
ColoKate,

Please share any info you have on Monterey. Until a few years ago, we had an excellent relationship, with me having completed oodles of $60+ assignments; Out of the blue, I received an E-letter informing me that if I chose to continue as a shopper, I would be required to also sign-up with SeeLevel, an MSC I had, due to terrible communications, fired. I requested a waiver and, without notice, they, which was their right, terminated our agreement.
Maybe it was poorly worded, but sometimes you guys are just too harsh. There's nothing wrong with a collective house cleaning. If we know something doesn't work, why shouldn't we share it. It's not too far off from asking about payment issues.

Same exact occurrences here; at one point we were emailing back and forth about me doing some video for them. Then... crickets.
I have periodically checked the Monterey board, but no shops for a LONG time there. I’m not deactivated but that green Monterey Tree is empty for me.
Seelevel took over Monterey a few years ago, along with Beyond Hello and some others. Maybe they have decided to completely shutter the company name, Monterey, too?

So after a little research it appears that the Monterey Mystery shopping website is still up and accepting new shoppers as well as allowing me to sign in. However the prophet site for Monterey only exists to the login page but does not allow me to login. I tried to get help logging in and got an error page. It appears that SeeLevelHX either absorbed them completely or simply schedule and edit the Monterey shops on the SeeLevelHX site as a subcontractor for the Monterey shops. There are shops on the SeeLevelHX job board that are listed as MMS which I assume is Monterey Mystery Shopping. So much like IPSOS used to sub contract a shipping shop to Bare a few years ago Monterey may be sub contracting their shops to SeeLevelHX.

Service Sleuth HS Brands and Mershimer Group all used to be listed at the top of the shopper page for HS Brands. It now simply lists HS Brands.

I think Measure Consumer Perspectives was bought out or merged with another MSP.

Service intelligence changed platforms to I Secret Shop as ISS is a platform and not a MSC.

Ritter Associates changed name to Alta 360.

Goodwin and Associates changed names to Intel 360 and is on the ISS platform.

NSS and Service Check went out of Business

Harland Clarke may be getting out of mystery shopping however I received a quite recent email to sign up with them as they were looking for new mystery shoppers in certain areas although it was on a different platform then I believe they previously used which I though was their own proprietory platform.

Ardent Services not positive still in business for mystery shopping.

Feedback plus was bought out by Sentry I believe.

GFK was bought out by IPSOS but maintains its sassie page now referred to as Sassie IPSOS

MVentix went out of Business as far as I know

Northfork Research formerly ICCDS is now Buzzagents

Phantom Shoppers is now called Confidential Consumer

Movie Measure is a new Mystery Shopping Company specializing in Trailor Checks and Movie Stand Installs

Feel free to verify any info provided.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Wonderful idea for a thread!!!!!!!!!!!!
