I've noticed they've eased up on the low grades in the past week. Specifically on gas shops. Maybe they got the message?
Why are you discussing the audit findings with the manager? This is a revealed audit meaning that you give them your LOA, put on your safety vest and do your job. You are not supposed to discuss the results of your visit with any of the employees.@JasperJohnson wrote:
On the topic of current POP, I believe early should be marked as not current.
The POP materials generally have a put up date and a take down date. A manager actually showed me where it was on the sign when I told them their POP wasn't current. The correct image was on the other side of the sign.

Its like school; some teachers were really tough graders while others were fair and/or easy. No consistency in whatever guidelines they are all suppose to be following. And it is beyond the grading. Some auditors send a grade notification while others only post to the assignment on your job board. Sometimes you get an email from notifications@ipsos-mysteryshopping.com (and maybe the auditors name within the email) while other times the notification comes across under the auditors name.
The craziest feedback I got was (1) Make sure inspections are not white glove and then (2) Make sure excessive infractions are marked. Now I could of had an off day, but those are two completely different comments for a shop. Feedback like that deserves examples. One of the worst feedback comments is "make sure photos are present, clear and for the correct location." Sometimes I can surmise the auditor thought 1 or more pictures were blurry since I wasn't tagged to send or correct a picture.
But I am like others who have commented -- if its not effecting getting paid then grade as you like. That said, consistency in the overall communication is desperately needed. With the lack of, they create their own confusion.

For the shopper who says the editor drops the photo and marks him down for it, this isn't true. The system keeps track of all photos submitted even the deleted ones. If an editor asks for the correct photo, it's because the shopper submitted the incorrect photo.

And you know this how?

The system also flags any duplicate photos used in other reports. I am not saying I agree with the editor as I have not looked at the actual report. However, some shoppers in this forum seem to think they do everything right and the editors/schedulers are always in the wrong. The editors/schedulers are also not the ones who created and set up the grading system. They just follow the rules. If you want a better grade, maybe you should follow the rules too.

... Yesterday I received another 2 when an editor wanted me to change my answer to sanitizer not being available at every island when it was actually available at every island. Us shoppers clearly aren’t perfect but neither are the editors, and it doesn’t seem fair to automatically score us as 2’s when a hold isn’t fixed to their liking, when they may not have it right to begin with.

If you do this for any amount of time you will notice a lot of editor errors when a shop is returned to you, even in areas not part of the reason for the shop being returned. (And you will also notice they catch a lot more of our errors.) This battle is not worth fighting. A score of 2 stings, of course, especially when it is not your fault, but a string of 10s and even 8s will quickly erase any effect of an occasional low score.
