Market Force- Make An Offer

I made an offer for a shop on Thursday morning that I can complete on Sunday. As of Friday evening I have not heard back. I know if they accept my offer I will get an email. If they don't accept it then I won't get the email and I can take the shop at that pay on the website or decline the shop.

I went to the Market Force web site and the job is still there and it showing that I have made an offer.

Every time I make an offer I usually get a reply that day or the next day, I never have to wait two or three days.. It was more than 50 cents then what the web site had it listed and 50 cents less than what I did it for last time.

Is this normal to wait two to three days?

No, I would say that if you haven't heard within 24 hours, then it's been declined. Most of mine are always declined, except for one MAO I submitted last month. It was accepted within 2 hours. So if I don't hear within a day, I figure it's a no-go.
I sent an offer, job was $5, then they posted it to $10 and today is was $15, but I NEVER got an email back saying we'll take your offer of $15. It just shows up on the board now as $15 with the dates moved further out. So now, I know they'll pay even MORE because no one wants the job. I'll just wait for it to hit $25! LOL

I have had that happen to me before.. I just checked the web site and the shop was removed but I never received an e-mail one way or the other.

About two weeks ago I sent an offer for $ 11 on an $ 10 shop. The next day I checked the web site and it said that my offer was declined. Well in December I sent in an offer for $ 11 for an $ 10 shop and it was approved.. It was the same shop both times. I find it very odd.

ETA: I wonder if it was removed or my offer was refused was either some one took it for $ 10 or when I did it last month I gave a bad report. Just hope I can still do this shop i the future!!!

I usually wait several days to more than a week and then they are declined since I offer to do $4.50 shops for $25 to $50 depending on the location. Eventually, they call me and I get the shop for the money I want. I hold out for what I am willing to do the shop for, and I usually get it, I just have to wait.
I wanted to take myself out for dinner last night. There was a location of their hamburger chain at $25 or Make an Offer. I asked for $27, but a couple of hours later decided not to be greedy and accepted it at the listed fee.

I heard that once you make an offer and they accept the shop, that youll never get paid more than that for that shop. Is that true? This is why I am hesitant to low ball it sometimes.
I have been told by schedulers that is a policy. It's not impossible, but very, very difficult to get more for a shop once you have done it for less. Not through the automated system, EVER, but only by speaking to a scheduler and having them put in the request -- and you'd better have an excellent reason.

I have successfully used "When I did that shop last month, I was on a route, and it fit in my route. Now it doesn't -- you're asking me for half a day of work, so I need to get paid more."
Just watch what people are taking the type of jobs for. If a lot of the same "type" of shops are sitting for a while, it's because shoppers are waiting for a "bonus" or the shops to increase. Circle K (gas station) starts usually at $7 and you have spend $4 in the c-store. I waited 3 weeks and now they are paying $15 in fees and still $4 for reimbursement for c-store. I'm in Cincinnati, OH. Hope that helps.

Circle K is handled by a different MSC than Market Force as far as I know.

I got an email from the MSC just yesterday offering Circle K shops and calling them "super easy" or some such. I looked at the guidelines and almost choked. I wrote term papers in college that took less time to prepare than this shop report would take lol.

Agreed, different MSC for Circle K here also.

That MSC has two different Circle K shops. One is super easy. I've done several of them, but still wait for the fee to go up, which it ultimately does.

The other takes some time and is a revealed check of the temperatures of food items and the log book they use to check hourly and many other checks. Takes at least a half hour if I recall. Haven't done one in over a year.
Be careful here circle k is a gas brand as well as a co-branded location so you could be in violation still on this thread although I agree, other mscs handle them also for different things.
