Has anyone shop for Secret Shopper?

Has any one shop for them? I have a shop coming up this Monday and I am looking over the report and it looks pretty easy. Do they pay on time and how do they grade their reports? I notice that they pay by check

There is another shop that I would like to do but I would like to see how I do on this shop before I do anther one for them.

Thanks

I've done shops for them periodically. Never had an issue with pay. Shops weren't hard to fill out. Go for it.
I've done restaurant, cable company and one other type of shop I can't recall specifically. Probably a total around 20 or so.

I don't think I've ever had a shop sent back for clarification. So, either I'm really good, or I believe the reports are just straight forward.

I would definitely do their shops without hesitation.
Easy shops. shops done in july paid by check aug 20th. Reports all straight forward. Minor narrative with check boxes. The cable shops easy as are the medical uniform store. I was going to try their hardware store shop but alas I had some family issues so had to cancel. My feedback has always been Good Report, Thank You. Oh I also did a swiss army knife store years ago.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I've done the medical uniform shop also. Hardest part was finding something to buy within reimbursement. I ended up finding a pen type flashlight that fit.

FYI, I've always made an appointment for the cable company shops, nothing in the guidelines that says you can't. It eliminates the possibility of having to wait a LOOOONG time. Another time I went there without an appointment to actually return equipment and there was no line about an hour before closing.
I really like this company but unfortunately they have not had shops I like for a few years now. They used to have some wonderful ones in my area so I am keeping my fingers crossed for new clients.
I have completed work for two MSCs whose names are so similar, I am unable to distinguish between the pair. One is in Eastern Tennessee and uses three purses, each of a different color, as their logo. According to my log, pay arrived as agreed, but it has been several years since I worked for either company. This due to my fee requirements escalating to remain inline with inflation. As shoppers know, few, if any companies adjust. Trendsource, as an example, still pays $5 + $9 for the grocery store, an amount from 2006.
Oh heck, that is as bad as Marketforce. Since the hamburglar dropped then, they have really lowballed some shops. $0.00 for some shops. Plus, a small reimbursement that if you're lucky will cover what you buy to get a receipt.
I've shopped for them and have never had an issue with the shop or the payment. They just don't have a lot of shops close to me.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I have never had any problems. The reports are easy and usually get paid the next month.
I have done restaurant shops in the past with no issues. Haven't done any jobs for them in a long while.

Just as an aside, if you return a scheduler call for MF, the recorded message you initially get still makes it sound like they are handling the famous clown. Update the recording MF!

As to Secret Shopper, yes, the questionnaires are usually pretty easy (one of their cellular clients does have one that's a bit more challenging, but not that bad) and they are reliable to pay if you don't mind a paper check.

They once had a grocery client in my area where the demands were ridiculously hard (for $15!) and I never did that report. The client has since gone out of business.

They have taken on a previous MF hardware client and the report is not hard. SS doesn't reimburse so the fee, though double (in my area at least) what MF was offering isn't that much bigger after expenses than what MF was offering. But you can wait for an end-of-month bonus, which usually comes through as their shopper pool isn't as big as MF's.

I do miss Secret Shopper's ice cream client that stopped working with them when Covid hit. sad smiley

Me, too!!!!!!!
i have 2 shop types for this beloved company. One shop/location comes back around so often that I will need a script writer to supply back stories or change my appearance radically so that all the old-timers and newbie employees will not recognize me.

I miss the HG but, they have not increased the price they provide us with; yet the price of the ice cream continues to go up. I had some earlier this month on my own. They really need to be increasing what they offer to pay us if it ever returns. Inflation is real!
In my area they have telecommunications (cable) and a furniture store.

I did a lots of liquor store shops long time ago. Such program was closed in 2017. I did other shops with them as well. Now I am doing may be 1-2 shops per year.

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
I am getting a spinning circle when I try to log on. Anyone else?

Honny, the only time that happens to me with this MSC is when I forget to give my OK to share my location....then it spins and spins....don't know if that's what's up with your spinning cause, but just thought I'd share.
I wanted to do a shop for them that's listed as beginning next week through the middle of October. It's in another state, and I'll be in that area. The website said since it's not in my area, I'd have to email a coordinator, which I did. I then received a somewhat-snarky email stating that since I've never done an assignment for them, I cannot do one in a different state because they have no gauge of my reliability. I was also told that they do not schedule that far out for any shop. October 13th is considered too far out to schedule? So why is it listed as available? I've been a shopper for over 10 years. How are they supposed to gauge my reliability if they won't give me a shop? Strange. I'm not sure I want to work with such a company.

Thank you. My computer has been squirrely for the last few days.

Completely worthless company! I've done shops for them for years. I had one scheduled recently that I need to try and reschedule or cancel due to a family emergency with my son. Sent 3 messages and never got a reply. When I did get a reply it was to tell me that my account had been dropped since I canceled my first shop with them as a new shopper. The first shop I ever did for this company was back in 1998. How is that a new shopper doing my first shop. Would highly NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

Thanks for the heads-up. I don’t understand this company. They don’t want to assign me a shop that is out of my area (I’ll be visiting that area on vacation) because I’ve never done a shop for them? So how can they “gauge my reliability” if they won’t let me do a shop? I don’t understand. It’s not a high-paying shop. I’ve been shopping since early 2011, so I have 10 years experience and literally hundreds of jobs under my belt. Their loss.
