Casino Shops

I did a casino shop and it was fun. Does anyone know of companies that offer casino shops?

Thx.

HS Brands, Bestmark (did at one time not sure about now) Bare, and CHC (Advise against based on what I have read on this forum).

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I recommend HS Brands and QSI for casino/resort jobs. I have never seen a casino job from BARE. I was not fond of the casino/hotel jobs I did for CHC due largely to low pay for time investment required. I terminated my relationship with BestMark 13 years ago partly because of a casino/hotel job I did for them and partly because they paid $0 job fee for most of the jobs on their job board, which made their job board a waste of time for me to scan.

I keep seeing invites for them but I’m nervous…are they difficult? I’m not an big gambler and table games intimidate me. I can do slots all day long, LOL.

A good table game to play would be Let It Ride. It's slow and even though you put out three bets to start, you have the choice of taking two of them back. Other players are usually helpful as are dealers usually.

The ones I've done were a lot of valet, security, slot attendant, players club attendant, drink service at the slots and at the table, bar service, restaurant service more than the gambling aspect.

However, I've only done two different casinos, both of them Indian casinos for two different MSCs.

Best Mark still doing that in our state but I am seen just one location. Never did it because of two person scenario as well as long drive.

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
I have applied to a dozen of them on HS Brands, but never was selected because I've don't have prior experience. Catch -22 at it's finest!

They require lots of preparation, logistics, and writing, lots of writing critiqued by the best editors in the business. You do not need to know how to gamble or even how to play the games. Not knowing how to play table games makes it easier for you to report on the dealers' knowledge. Do not accept a casino shop with the expectation of winning. That's not your job, but if you do win that is an added perk. The meals are usually a good perk. If you see invites for casino shops, take them. That's the way to get experienced for getting accepted by HS Brands' higher end casino/hotel shops. Sometimes there is a "shift visit" casino shop that is good for newbies to get started. They generally take 3 - 6 hours and have only about 10 - 12 interactions. An overnight stay shop can include 30 or more interactions. I've done a lot of the casino shops, both Indian and Nevada casino/hotels. If you have specific questions after you look at the guidlines for your first shop, send me a PM.

Thank you!! There are several Indian casinos near where I live and I see these invites often. I’m still fairly new to MS but I’ve jumped in with both feet…I feel that this is a great next step. Not hoping for any winnings, the perks are nice and I really want to advance to hotel shops.

Thanks- I’ve done one of those so far. Suggestions on MSC’s with fine dining?

The MSC keeps changing for some of these. Tons of detail expected and takes hours to do. I'm a very good typist and normally pretty thorough, but they expect every single aspect to be reported on and the pay does not make it worth it IMO, unless you do well gambling. I'll pass on future shops unless the pay gets better.
You can bring someone if they're willing to put in the time to help. I like to work at my own pace.
Just FYI read the guidelines. The few I have done in NM state that if you win you have to surrender your winnings. Luckily the casinos that are shopped here removed all table games and only have slot machines and so far they were not requiring you to play the slot machines.
I terminated my relationship with Bestmark as well. They would dock me 2.00 because my shop wasn't submitted by 10am central time( I'm in California).

I don't remember the limit but HS has a limit of how much you are allowed to keep if you win and you are not allowed to gamble with your own money while on the shop.

HS Brands does not change the amount you are allowed to keep. Different clients of theirs set different amounts that you can keep. I have never had a problem with this. If you are doing everything you are supposed to do for the interactions and reports while you are there, you will not have time to gamble with your own money. Anyway, why would you want to?

If you really must gamble with your own money, all you have to do is walk out of the casino after you have checked out (if it's a hotel) and then return and gamble. That lets the client know you are off the clock. You are being paid to be there and work for the client from the time you enter until the moment you check out. The client is not paying you to gamble for yourself on the client's time.

I think the main reason they don't want you to gamble with your own money it's because you could just hit a jackpot and then claim you weren't doing an evaluation at that machine and we're just gambling on your own. I would say, if I were to win more than a few thousand dollars in a jackpot, it would be worth keeping the money even if it meant being terminated from that company. I could just keep the money, flake on the shop, and if they'd never hire me again that's fine. Because I'll never make $5,000 working for them for the rest of my life.

Bare definitely has them. You won’t see them on the board.
HS brands does most of them. CHC usually invites shoppers and they can be difficult, especially if you are new. Coyle does some. They are not good at explaining things. The pay for Bestmark was low. I have not seen any in my area from Bestmarrk since things shut down.
Lol right? Why wouldn’t they just let you keep the winnings? Otherwise one WOULD flake on the shop.
There is some location from BestMark. But such place is inside the casino shopping mall.
