@Morledzep that is appalling. I'm from TN but moved to FL as a teenager, lived here the majority of my life.

That manager that had a hissy fit about VeriTes audience flow assignment, she did call her district manager and was hysterical about the whole thing. Not only did she embarrass me for the first time in my life by being so loud and overly dramatic about nothing, but she explained it in a way that nearly got me banned from doing trailer checks at my regular location where I had worked for years before. It was the same chain just in a different city.

There was some weird "rule" in their handbook that no one was allowed to count patrons. Well guess what we had blind checking assignments with CFA and I returned to the same chain and counted people right under their noses, since it was a covert audit they were not supposed to know I was doing it, and they never caught on.

I had to explain to them the big difference between trailers and almost beg, so I didn't lose the location. Because at that time Movie Measure and VeriTes were both doing trailers, and I was able to bring in the money from doing both.

Regardless you shouldn't be treated or made to feel like you are a suspect when you go to check trailers or any other movie assignment, I hope if you go to see movies on your own time you are not treated that way either.

VeriTes can't stand to lose any checkers now, they need to keep the loyal ones they have, no one new is going to sign on when the work is so sporadic.

At the end of the day, everyone deserves respect, and if you gave your scheduler the respect she needed and canceled for good reason and explained the reason, and if she can't give the same respect back, then I guess she will be surprised when one day comes and she needs you and maybe you won't be there.

There are only 2 types of theater managers. The very best, and the very worst. There is no in-bewteen. They're either the most chill people ever or the most anal *bleep*wad on earth. I've obviously dealt with both.
@weatherman2111 I completely agree with you about types of managers we come across when doing these assignments.

@Morledzep Your scheduler needs to change her attitude then. If assignments are in your area, she will need you. So far the Open checks for this year have not been in my area. I'm waiting, hoping they will be available someday. But CFA and VeriTes are struggling so much with theatre work now. Looks like Movie Measure gets the bulk of it.
