Most cameras these days have the option to at least date stamp and many you can time stamp. If your camera is less than 3-4 years old, you probably have that option. Check the manual for your model or go through the menu on the camera itself. I have only 2 digital cameras that do NOT date stamp, one on a 5+ year old cell phone and one on an 8 year old digital camera.
Some shops do require a time stamp. It was probably stated in the shop instructions. Don't fret about it. It has happened to many of us.
Beware on CRI too if they send you an email and you do not get it you are still responsible for replying to the email you did not get!
My camera time and date stamps pictures you print out but the stamp doesn't show up on uploaded files. I emailed CRI and asked about this for some gas shops last year and they said it was fine to not have the stamp. There are other shops for them that say they require the stamp on the uploads so I asked during one of my Best Buy shops for another MSC. They didn't have a camera that would upload the stamp without buying a super duper expensive camera. I'll stick to what works.
If it was for the new client, it MUST have the time and date stamp attached. They are more loose with the old client, but I know they are strict about this requirement with the new fuel client.
