Who are the best companies to work for if you live in Bakersfield, CA?

I live in Bakersfield, CA and have signed up with several companies and I am looking to find others that do shops where I live. I don't want to spend the time to sign up for a bunch of companies only to find they have no shops in my area.

Thanks for any help!

Signing up with enough companies and researching to find jobs is the most time-consuming and difficult part of mystery shopping. Spending the time to sign up with as many companies as possible is an investment in your business. There is a list of companies available, [www.mysteryshopforum.com]

Many of us here are signed up with over a hundred companies although we don't work for that many companies in a given month. But you never know when a company will get jobs in your area, whether they currently have them or not. To me it was worth spending the time - it doesn't take but a couple of minutes to sign up with most companies.
First you need to sign up with Roboform or a software program like it. Roboform is free. Once you sign up with Roboform their software will fill out most of the applications for you. The program will also remember your passwords for each individual company so when you log in to check on jobs the process goes smoother and faster. Signing up with new companies is a pain but necessary. I am signed up with about 130 or more. I only work for about 25 though. Another program that is free is Incredimail. You can use it to save all of the companies you work for and to schedule your shops. There is no way for me to tell you which companies will have work in your area because I am in South Florida. There are a few companies that are quite large and have shops in a larger area. I suggest Intellishop, BARE, Research Services, Monterey, Ath, Ellis and Informa. You will also need to check on this forum site and learn who pays quick and slow. Like Intellishop and Ath are sure to pay you but you have to wait a couple of months for the money. I do a lot of apartment shops for Ellis. The money is fair but the paperwork is redundant. Good luck with your signing up with companies. We who do shops on a daily basis all had to go through the signing up process.
Business Evaluation Services is based in Bakersfield. They have several jobs in the area. If you want to do motels, Freeman Group does them... they have several in the Valley and over along the coast. There are so many companies out there... you just have to sign up and see what comes along.

Fresno, CA - and shopping all over the middle part of the state!
And use the forum to look up shopper experience with those companies you would want to sign up with.
Actually we used to be based in Bakersfield but our offices are now on the sunny mid coast of California. I do have shops in Bakersfield but they are just a few restaurant shops. We would still love to have you and it is always good to check back with us or any other business as we just added three new clients so you never know when something will come up. Good luck!

Hi KMorgan!

The original poster in this thread and several others where you have posted your notices, do not appear to have revisited the forum recently. Let me encourage you rather to post from time to time to our Job Board with jobs you currently need to fill and include the information to register.
Was just trying to be helpful! I was deleted by admin. sad smiley Suppose my forum etiquette skills to be lacking! Sorry about that.
