IPSOS Night Shops

I notice in the April update for the "Blue" gas stations, this particular message:

"We really need Night Shops to start happening again this year."

Am I the only one who believes they (IPSOS) are out of line in not adding an incentive for a shopper when asking for them to do "Night Shops"?

Seems to me the old company(s) always offered bonuses when asking for "Night Shops".

At the end of last year they finally started making the night part mandatory for some shops. And then dropped the requirement near the end rather than shell out bigger bucks. I guess they don't need them that much.

At what time is considered "night"? 6pm, another time or just when it is dark? I think more pay should be added if they are asking you to go let's say 9pm or later, but if you can go at between 6 and 9 PM, that's not unreasonable to ask. But it's also not unreasonable to ask for more money as well. The more restrictive the guidelines usually means the higher the pay (at least for me to take a shop).

If I remember correctly "night" was defined as dark enough that the outside lights should be on... So depending on your location and the time of year it might be as early as 4 or 5 pm and as late as who knows (for me in the south maybe 8:30 or 9 pm)...

I liked the option of it being night shops, even without an incentive, because I didn't have to frantically try to complete a route in the winter time while it was light. It ended up making more sense (and ended up being lucrative) to do a longer route because I could do more on a day rather than spend the extra time driving would I have had to break it up into 2 separate days. I also could do some quick merchandising (with time limitations) in between the gas station shops and have the "Blue" shops pay for the gas to get to the merchandising locations. I also find, many times, that night shops take less time because there are fewer customers to dodge. I guess we'll see how they handle things going forward.

I remember getting the emails from MaritzCX, and when Ipsos first took over, they sent emails telling you that they wanted you to earn an extra $5 for doing the shops after dark. But there hasn't been any real difference in the payment for the shops between daytime and nighttime at all for at least a year. I think a lot of us would respond to a similar incentive if it were offered again, but it would have to be more than $5.
