White Clay

Only one shop; small sample size.
My reviewer (Mr,Z) thought my job is to make the establishment look good. He kept asking for topics and/or statements that my host never brought up.

Ziggy is top notch. White Clay wants honest and detailed reports. More than once, I have received praise - and even retroactive bonuses - for presenting negative facts about stores and sales professionals.

That the sales person who assisted you did not discuss topics or make statements should have been shared in your report from the get go. White Clay's guidelines and forms are very clear as to expectations.

100% agree. I like working for white clay. They've been more than fair to me and I agree that I've gotten a retroactive bonus because I had an extremely difficult shop with a non-helpful sales rep and because of the amount of detail I put in the report they gave me a little extra. Never had a problem with Bill or Ziggy. They're also very clear on what they want and their guidelines are not contradictory to their reports which is appreciated!
I have done four shops in the last two years and they are ok.
How and why did you conclude Ziggy thought your job was to make the establishment look good? What did you mean by asking FOR topics and/or statements? If Ziggy was asking ABOUT things the employee did not say or do, that was not at all an indication that he was trying to make the establishment look good.

Count me among those who have received retroactive bonuses for extremely detailed reports on negative shop experiences.

Could you clarify what White Clay is? I don't understand your email, sorry.
White Clay is the name of an MSC.

Shopping South Jersey, Southeast Pennsylvania, and Delaware above the canal since 2008
I have completed 16 jobs for this MSC over a 16 yr. period without the slightest hint of a problem. My solitary regret is that the amount of work for them is not at least 20 fold.
This is by far and away my favorite MysteryShopping company to work for, especially for phone shots. Jared and Ziggy both are excellent!
The guidelines are clear and state what the MSC is looking for in the interaction. If the rep doesn't mention the topic, I note that in my write up. I have never been asked for further clarification.

Totally agree. I'd take every job I could get from them if they had more in my area! I, too, have been given bonuses after the fact for a highly detailed report, including one that reflected very negatively on the salesperson. So they definitely aren't looking for reports that make their clients look good.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
