An Ipsos situation

At 14:00 EDT 07/15, I received the following:

Shopper Pay: $12.50 + $5 fuel reimbursement + up to $1 in-store purchase
BONUS: $20 for this weekend only!

Which was followed by:the following admission of error at 16:09 EDT:

Shopper Pay: $15-20 (this weekend) + $5 fuel reimbursement + up to $1 reimbursement for your in-store purchase

This is the first occasion of which I have any recollection of an MSC self-correcting.

Yeah I got that email and I went and I looked on the job board and there wasn't anything that said $20 bonus on it so I closed the job board and went back to sleep. lol

I went looking and didn't see the bonus so I didn't apply for anything. It took several hours for the correction to come out.
Review your "Job Board" carefully. The $20 for monthlies is the $12.50 standard pay plus a $7.50 bonus. The $15.00 for the quarterlies is the $12.50 standard pay plus a $2.50 bonus amount.
The deceptive part is the E-mail stating that these shops are for the weekends. They are strung out further (in most instances to the 21st of the month.

Just a different way of encouraging shoppers to take the shops.

I am sorry that I am becoming so cynical of this MSC.
Head games! Just sing that song in your head when you think about what's going on. I would bet my entire nest egg that the fees are not going to go down after this weekend. A sucker is born every minute, and they're trying to take advantage of them. Anyone with experience knows that this is the standard bonus, and it's not going to go down after this weekend. The $20 bonus originally emailed may have been a mistake, or it may have been a purposeful mistake. That doesn't really matter. People make mistakes sometimes. However, the insinuation that you have to do it this weekend or you won't get the bonus is similar to equine excrement.
Here is the opening statement. Note that they are not stating anything about a $20 bonus.

"Our Monthly XXXXX Shops are paying $20 (up from the usual rate of $12.50) and Quarterly XXXXX Shops are paying $15 this weekend. Sorry we didn't get this right in our last email, but we hope you'll still give these a try!"

Not sure what you mean. That was the correction email that corrected the original email that did say there was a $20 bonus.

So many MSCs have at times conflated the total fees with the bonus, I didn't think the post that unusual. The correction was the unusual part. Good for them.

I had to search my folders.

Found their initial E-mail regarding their mistake in my Junk folder. All I can ask is why did it end up there?

Their initial email also had a coding mistake at the beginning where it was supposed to have your name. Instead it said Get ready for your big reveal, FName (at least mine did). That may have made your email client think it was junk.
(They didn’t even take the time to do a trial run of the email to make sure the coding where our first names were supposed to be inserted twice was correct. Lazy and rushed).

I’m *shocked* that the “this weekend only” part of the email was a lie, haha.
