Ipsos request for data from over a month ago

Ipsos recently sent out a separate email requesting an answer to a specific question on shops (big orange hardware store) done over a month ago. This request asks only one question, but it requires some time to check files for notes, receive and return the email. I received a dozen of these requests. It seems like some token compensation is appropriate. The shops have already been paid, so this is not an editor request for info, just a research request. Am I off base in thinking my time is worth 'something'?

Honestly, for me if would depend if I had a good relationship with the MSC (and I do with Ipsos). I mean, I might gripe if it took me 30+ minutes, but if I could do it fairly easily I'd give them the benefit of the doubt.
For me, it would depend upon both the existing relationship and the degree of the inquiry. In the 11 yrs. I have been contracted with Ipsos, I have probably completed a dozen assignments; barring a fee, I would pass. On the flip side, if Karen Register, prior owner of Strategic Reflections for whom the number of shops was approx. 650, called upon me, it would have been my pleasure.

Don't most MSCs insist or at least prefer you delete/destroy your notes after you've been paid on the shop?
Quite the opposite. It is not uncommon for them to want you to retain the records for 6 months or even a year. And for the financial portions, you need to keep them for 7 years after you file the relevant income tax.

The records of what you pay and get paid I can understand. I'm mainly talking about the notes on the details of the shop, which seems to be what the OP was asking about (and what the MSC was asking about, too).
I do not recall any MSC telling me to destroy my notes for a shop as soon as I got paid. As I said, quite the contrary.

In my case, I do not keep notes for shops. I either complete them on my phone as I go, or I immediately debrief on my phone when I'm done. When I'm done with the shop, I'm done. Asking me for information about a shop a month later wouldn't work for me. I would have to be honest with them and tell them that I just don't remember. I guess it's possible that I could remember, but I do hundreds of shops every month. This is poor form on the part of the company. Any information or clarification that's needed should be taken care of during the editing process.
Thanks TD, that is exactly what I think...poor form on the part of IPSOS, of course.....that is nothing new....
