Ipsos question

Hey All,

I personally have had no issues with Ipsos but it has been a few months at least that Ive shopped with them. Ive seen here and there that some of you have had issues with them lately maybe about a month ago or more now. Am wondering if there are still issues. Im pretty excited was checking for shops and to my pleasant surprise, I have literally hundreds of shops close to me for once when in the past I was lucky to have maybe 5. Im wondering about the past issues and if resolved. I dont want to sign up for these shops and then run into issues.

I don't recall the issues from a month ago, but I've had no problem at all. In fact I've probably increased the # of jobs I do for Ipsos over the last month or two.
The only problem I've had is once in a while the app goes....well, crazy. One report they returned to me four times for missing photos, but when I opened the report, all the photos were there. I was on my phone on the app, so I took screen shots and sent them to that editor. She was as mystified as I.

The other thing, don't do a shop now and really count on getting paid for it next Tuesday; every time I do that, it gets hung up in editing for 8-10 days, so I end up getting paid in one and a half or two weeks -- still, fast by industry standards!

Also, I don't do shops at base pay, and if you self-assign, that's what you're agreeing to (basically).

Thanks this is the type of thing I was curious about

I concur with @ceasesmith I have work that was done 10 days ago that has yet to be graded. Others have mentioned this trend recently.
They are a credible company to work for and pay much quicker than many. The few times there have been issues they proactively communicate. I have worked for them for about 2 yrs and in the industry for almost 20 yrs.
Several issues and/or opinions (okay drama too) has been posted on this forum recently regarding Ipsos. So I guess it depends on which issue you may be referring to.

There seems to be a lag in editing and payment from time to time, but typically I am paid in 1 to 2 weeks. I've never been paid past the 3 week window they guarantee. With the holidays coming up the current pay schedule of once a week, will be twice weekly. Hopefully they will have sufficient editing staff to handle.

Some shoppers are not happy with the work to pay ratio for some or all shops. They are not the highest payers by any means, but guess it depends on what is acceptable or not to the individual, where you live, and what you are attempting to achieve via mystery shopping. Often it may mean waiting until a shop is bonus'd to self assign or asking for more than that when necessary.

The process for bonus requests and travel expenses has changed. A bit more analytical than on the have to get it done on the fly. I do not shoot low in my bonus or travel requests and always ensure there is a profit built in. I have not had a request declined since the new process has been in place.

I'm sure there are other issues other posters will chime in about.
I really like Ipsos as I have made some blunders several times and they always work with me to get job done correctly. Actually, I have never had a problem with any company I have done work.
I got a mass email today (maybe yesterday, I don't remember) saying that there is, indeed, a backup in the editing department due to the volume of projects they have going. They're working on it. Something like that.
IPSOS is a good company. I do a lot of their shops and have never had an issue with getting paid as contract states. I have had a delay in editing on some programs, but it never gets past contracted time. IMO they are understaffed. I see one scheduler had many projects and honestly I don’t know how she gets it done. I don’t know if some of the projects IPSOS does would be good for newbies as many times you are left on your own to figure out guidelines that are not always clear… not a IPSOS only issue. I do appreciate the quick pay at holiday time. Some of the other MSPs are jumping on this bandwagon because shoppers go like herds of cattle to IPSOS that time of year. But honestly there are lots of insta shops that pay quick on Presto if you are looking for quick turn around.
Anyone else get an email from Ipsos about a drug store shop and they used someone else's name? I don't know who Adriani is, but that is who the email was addressed to. Just wondering if that was a glitch on their part?

Adriani, we found the xxxx shop for you.

Visit your assigned xxxx or xxxxx store to measure how store associates are complying with store policies. Find this short shop in Presto!
HB, yes I got that email. I'm in SoCal like I assume you are based on your forum name. But mine is addressed to "jodi" (and yes, it's lower case).
The email software had a glitch and changed everyones names! I was Karina which I sort of liked! It may be fixed now, but if not they are aware and working on it

They did send out an E-mail advising that starting this week, they shall be paying twice a week until the year's end.
I am not sure we have the same understanding of the term "proactively communicate".....(smirk)
