Fine Dining Shops?

I sure feel your pain, @Susan L. You are absolutely right about always being aware that if something doesn't go as expected on these shops, you are going to have to eat the cost. It is not a big deal on a fast food shop, but it can sting if a fine dining or hotel shop doesn't work out. In all of the years that I have taken fine dining shops, I have never once got out the door within the reimbursement amount. I plan accordingly, and don't take the shops if it is an issue. However, on a lot of what I am seeing these days, you need to budget at least $20 to $50 more than their stated amount just to meet the guideline requirements, and likely ordering the cheapest of each on the menu, and by that I mean "at the very least" on the amount I would expect to go over It is a bonus if they tack on a $5 or $10 token payment, which doesn't come close to covering the difference.

I haven't taken a fine dining shop in a while now. I am just not going that far into my own wallet to perform what amounts to an act of charity to do some of these shops for these folks. They are not non-profits. The shops are a whole lot of work, and you better believe they are making a good solid cut. I have bills to pay too. Another lesson that I have learned on such is that I don't take a higher end out of pocket assignment with an MSC until I have worked with them on lower level assignments and have a good idea how they handle payments and reimbursements. Vague guidelines do not cut it when I am pulling out my wallet for these folks. I am sorry for what you went through on that one. I would not shop for those folks again either.

I managed to grab one TX Roadhouse shop and never saw them again. I would love for those to come back!
rmkeith,

Those went back on the board a day or 2 ago. There are still some available, but they may have all been scooped up in your area.

The report for them is no where near what's required for a fine dining shop and even though they generally don't pay a fee in addition to reimbursement, they make sense to me since they increased the reimbursement amount to $50, That covers 2 entrees, soft drinks and an appetizer.

I've gotten burned by Sentry in the past, so would proceed with caution
We have fine dining shops posted on our job board for multiple mystery shopping companies. Please login and check at [www.sassieshop.com]

One of our clients has quite a lot in particular. They are called The Jack Network and used to be Confidential Consumer. During the pandemic, they had very few shops available, and Sassie turns off your emails if you don't log in for at least 12 months, so if you were previously shopping for them, please login and update your account so that you will see job offers!
