GigWalk?

Searched and could not find any mention of GigWalk. Does anyone else on this board shop through this app?
I have a love/hate relationship with them. There are a few shops I've done that were easy and promptly paid, but I also have a handful of shops that took FOREVER to do, and ended up being denied pay! I've tried emailing them for tips on future shops, but their customer service is non-existent. Anyone else have experience with them?

I have only done a few shops from them each year because they are never really as described and seem to always include much more work. It is hard to contact them and they take a long time to accept/approve shops completed, or at least that has been my experience. I hate the locations shown as "in my area," when they are in another state and the description will state any area will work, but sometimes it states the exact location must be used. I do not think they realize how unclear, incomplete and erroneous their instructions and descriptions are. They frustrate me, personally.
Gigwalk must've been popular a while back, but it is rare that I find anything in my area. I was going to delete the app a couple of weeks ago when they finally had a few jobs listed. Two or three of them were plasma centers where you have to get pricing information. This must be their bread and butter because when I first uploaded the app, that was the same type of jobs they had available along with a distant grocery shop.

The plasma jobs were paying $20 and I was in the neighborhood for two of the locations, but I was running behind schedule. It is unfortunate because I was genuinely curious how the process works and the task seemed simple. They sent a notice saying the jobs were expiring soon which I took as a gimmick to get the shops to move, but they were not lying -- the jobs fell off the board.

The app shows no jobs in my area when I just checked. Not even the silly "rate our gigwalk app for a chance to win $10" -- gimme a break.
Hmm, I have never heard of Gigwalk before!
I've had their app on my Android phone for a couple of years, but have never found anything of interest to me. Interestingly enough.....I just checked their app in the Play store...there have been NO UPDATES since Feb 2020.....almost 3 years since any updates! I guess I keep it on my phone....just in case!
I've never seen anything worthwhile in my area. It's always the website rating one.

Yeah, I've applied for that one about 25 times and never got picked.

They very rarely have anything in my area. They had a bunch of them auditing the labels on bottles of an iconic soda brand in convenience stores about 2 months ago or so, I did about 6 and had one rejected. Other than that I've done maybe 2 jobs for them in the 2 years or so I've had the app.

They had a weird one not long ago where you're supposed to take photos to confirm that a certain printing business is actually open and operating! Not sure who needs that done but it was too far for me anyway.

Their review process is mud-slow.
Same here, I rarely have any in my area but when I do they are good b/c they're more like audits and I really like! Speaking of, anyone know any new audit shops or mystery shops for Dec? My area has very little right now and I need income for Christmas, haha. Suggestions of any new 'waves' of shops, audits, or merchandising this month?? Ty! winking smiley
They actually released a bunch of supermarket audits in my area, for a holiday display by a brand of nuts named after a gem that's the color of Paul Bunyan's ox. Did one yesterday.
Oh my goodness, they have some of those in my area as well! But, for $4.00/store, I'm not about to make any effort on a Saturday to do them. If I was out grocery shopping, I might do one in the store next to me where I often buy something. How was the audit to do, @KoKo???
I’ve done a few of these, I was at the stores for other shops. None of the locations had the display. I like Gigwalk so far. Another similar app is Observa- they have some easy tasks and some that are too involved for low pay.
I used GigWalk a few times so far. They don't seem to have too much. They had the grocery store one a few weeks ago and I have like 10 of those stores in my area so one day I just did a bunch of them. Was really easy for the $4 because it took less than 10 minutes, even better if I found the display. So far though I only got paid for 2, the others are still sitting as unreviewed. Apparently, they have 14 days to review or they are just paid so I will see because today is day 14. But there has not been much at all lately.
