Ipsos STRICT on start timing!

Don;'t start uopur shop even a minute before the specificed earliest time! For example, if a shop is specified to not start before 11:00 AM, don't take your site photo at 10:59 AM, or your shop will be rejected! (yes, even if you are on site until 12:00 noon!)

I do, too, Prince. Just in case their clock is a little different from mine.

Not to be an idiot about it because I agree with you to put a little cushion in there. But just some information most people won't know.

All the equipmement routers, switches, hubs etc on the Internet "cloud" have clocks. If those clocks aren't in sych, it doesn't work right. They all tie into GMT or Greanich Mean Time, somewhere around the UK. All time is measured from that line plus or minus.

All cell networks and therefore the time on your cell phone are timed to meet that standard. The timd shown on your phone is the most accurate time you can get.

In the US there is an atomic clock in I believe Colorado Springs to keep things on schedule. They have a number you can call go get the exact time.

Thanks for your correction. And yes that's the imaginary line I was referring to.

Why not take the PHOTO after your interaction? So if it's 11am...do your interaction first and take picture at the end. I'm not sure what shop(s) this is for. Maybe if it is the gas stations, they require the pictures first?
I found a neat function on my android that wasn't originally there but must have come with an update. I can edit the meta data! Good to know. Check your phones.

I would think that most MSCs are strict on starting time.

I was thinking the same thing. If they say 11:00 they don't want 10:59.

Not to tell you your business, but if you get caught doing that, you can anticipate being dropped completely by that MSC for falsifying those photos.

Well, of course. I would think this goes without saying for any shop that specifies a starting time, and for any MSC. I'm curious why you thought otherwise???

I'm actually kind of curious why developers decided that the average user should have access to that. Doesn't it defeat the whole purpose of meta data if just anyone can manipulate it? I can just see it now, "No, honey, I wasn't cheating on you. I was bowling with the guys. Look, here's a picture. Check the time stamp."
Did you take the picture at 10:59 AM or did you start your shop at 10:59 AM. I once did something similar, for the same company, and my shop was accepted. I took the picture 15 minutes before the store opened, and then started the shop 30 minutes after the shop had opened (it was in a big mall and there were lots of various shops). My start time was within the guidelines, but my picture was not. The company emailed me and asked to confirm the picture was taken before the store opened, and to re-confirm the time I entered the store. The shop was then accepted.

At 10:59 I am most likely still at home. I don't do any shop at exactly the start time. If something starts at 16:00 like one of the gas station shops, I drive onto their lot 5 or 10 minutes after. Same goes with the end time, I try to finish the shop with minutes to spare, I've cut it close and had 17:59 on my final purchase time when the shop time is supposed to be finished before 18:00. But that has always been because of circumstances beyond my control, like a long checkout line, or a stubborn customer keeping me from taking the pictures I need.

I think it is a fair expectation that we follow the stated guidelines. I have lost payment for missing a detail, but it was a learning experience. I now follow every detail, and it has been beneficial as I have moved to higher paying jobs within the industry.
