Sentry Assignment of shop

Hello. First time trying to grab a shop with them. I have have applied and the due date is approaching and have not been assigned. Already have some other shops centered around that one in particular. Emailing them has not helped and there is no scheduler. Thoughts?

Did you complete the test for the shop already?

If not I would suggest you do that as an open book. Open the guidelines in one tab of your browser and the test in another. Their tests used to be very detailed. I have done a shop for them in several years so I'm not sure if it's still that way.

Not sure if passing the test will get the shop assigned, but it might help.

I get emails from Sentry schedulers all the time trying to get a restaurant shop filled in Southern California. I'm not sure what shop you are trying to get. I think I did 1 shop for them, but it has been years. I think the "test" methodology is lame. I have to "prove" to them that I'm worry of being able to complete a shop? Their clients in Southern CA don't impressive me enough to waste my time with their silly tests.

Yes, I do the occasional test for Ipsos, but that is because those shops can be profitable due to the sheer volume of their clients.
I sent you a PM

I have a question. Today I got an e-mail from Sentry. The e-mailer said that the following shops now have a $10 bonus. So I looked at the list and every shop listed had a blue hyperlink to the address. The Sentry website didn't show a bonus. Does anyone have experience with this sort of phenomenon? I've e-mailed the scheduler and said that if it is bonused...I'll do it. Prudent?

Just be cool folks.
Did you contact Sentry and ask?

Hello,

Sentry is on the ShopMetrics platform, and when we add a bonus, it shows on our end and not to the shopper. We have often asked SM to fix this so shoppers can see it. If you ever have a question and don't see the bonus, please email us and ask. We are happy to assist.

Have a great weekend and happy shopping.

Susan

Do not perform shops for Sentry. Trust me, you will regret it. They pay really late and the chances of them accepting your shop is less than 25%.

How do you know if they accept shops at a rate higher or lower than 25%?

Basically you had a bad experience (maybe your own fault, maybe not) and just came here to copy/ paste bash them on several threads.

I won't work for them either, but I don't tell others what to do. And I don't bash them without giving exact reasons.

It's based on data collected through time as a mystery shopper. Please be objective smiling smiley

What data? Your own personal screw ups?

Like I said, not a fan of Sentry... but no possible way for you to know their decline/ shop acceptance rate.

A 75% decline rate and they still give you shops? I call bull on that one.

Yup, my own data. I've done 10,000+ shops in my lifetime dating since 2013 so I would think i'm pretty experienced smiling smiley how about you?

You'd have to be a complete fool to have done 10k shops and continue to work for a company that denied 75% of your work.....

Personally, I wouldn't continue to work with a company that denied 3 out of 4 of my shops. And when I was scheduling I would DEFINITELY give 'do not hire' status to a shopper that f'ed up 75% of the work...
Therd is no way you have done 10,000 shops in 10 years. That would be 1000 per year and roughly 2.5 every single day. I have been shopping almost 30 years and am probably around 10k..I do agree stay away from Sentry
