They are still actively recruiting me. I wrote to their scheduler Raquel and she claimed the payment policy is the same as always. I’m sure she’s well aware of these issues and was trying to trick me into taking a shop. She should be ashamed of herself.
I also heard from their wonderful longtime editor who said her own payments fell behind. They eventually paid the editor who then quit — she had also gotten lots of angry emails from stiffed shoppers.
It’s too bad because they have some great clients in South Florida but if I actually shopped for them right now I’d have only myself to blame when I got stiffed.
