Service Scouts...for those who have done their assignments

I apologize, I have only done 1 assignment for them 5 years ago, so my memory is a little hazy. Before I contact SS for answers, I was hoping some of you could assist. I'm scheduled to attend a concert for SS at the end of September. I logged in and pulled up the documents.

1. Included is an agreement asking me to sign, stating I will reimburse SS for tickets and lost revenue if I flake. I don't remember signing this, and I have no problem signing it, but am I supposed to email the signed copy to them, or upload it in the report?

2. I pulled up the survey documents (56 pages) and a lot of the pages appear to be for games, not music concerts. For example, it asks me to access the basketball team's website and comment on ease of use. Is there a way for me to pull up only the required questions for my particular assignment?

3. Will SS give me more instructions before the assignment date? I admit that I find their site to be rather clunky, and I recall that my report back in 2018 took approximately 4 hours to complete. I've been a shopper for 12 years, so I'm used to reporting, but SS's was a whole other level LOL.

4. We're supposed to take photos of all employees that we interact with. I'm stumped on how to get a photo of the parking garage attendant in the little booth when I pull up. There's no way to be discreet about this. The last time I had such difficulty. Suggestions?

Photos are tough. I've done a bunch of these for them over the years.

You do the best you can. I normally act like I'm turning off my navigation and snap a photo. Turn off your volume and your flash! It doesn't have to be a perfect portrait just as much of the face body as you can capture.

As far as the requirement to reimburse, I don't know what they're doing now with that. Used to be you signed it and emailed it to them and they put it on your profile. I'm not sure what they're doing nowadays.

If you reach out to the scheduler, they can give you the guidelines for that particular shop. Concerts are a little different than sporting events, but a lot of the same type of interactions.

I used to edit for them and I gave that up because it took me about as many hours to edit it as It would take me to write up one myself.

They are fun but their software's a little clunky.
If I recall when I went to an NFL game they provided two reasonably good seats. Just make sure you download the electronic tickets to your phone before you get to the stadium/venue.

I needed two pictures of the parking attendant, the one that took my money and the one that directed me where to park. I found it easier taking the pictures as as the front seat passenger rather than the driver.

However, I didn't get there early enough to go around taking pictures of I think two concession stand employees that served me. The memorabilia store, the men's room attendant (that's a tough one in a crowded stadium bathroom), the usher, various pictures of the inside of the stadium.

I missed over a quarter of the game. So I would suggest going early to get some of it out of the way if you want to enjoy the concert.

And it did take forever to fill out the report, but I remember that the schedulers/owners were very patient and helpful.

1. It's boilerplate because the venue is providing fairly expensive tickets on their own dime, more or less, so they need to cover their butts.

2. Yeah, I've had that problem to. Text the assigner and she'll give you a rundown. The basic instruction is 8 interactions.

3. Also yeah, their website sucks. I've mentioned it to them multiple times but they seem to like it as is on their end so we're stuck with it, typos and all.

4. Do your best. I know I've been "made" a few times. Only the concessions folks have ever had an issue. If you can stand farther back and zoom in that's fine. You can also get a pic from side/behind so long as you can reasonably see who it is. I've done at least 80 assignments for them and it's never been an issue.

Also for parking, if it's the venue I think it is, you can park anywhere in the neighborhood. It doesn't have to be the arena.

I tried to get to the event 90 minutes before gametime so I could do the required interactions so i could enjoy the game. My partner would take the photos while I intearcted w the employee. My first assignment was awesome on my birthday. We had seats directly behind the plate and ate in the club section and had a $50 parking space next to the stadium. I miss those shops.
Several years ago, I did lots of them and they took a really long time to fill out the report. I only did college and NFL games. The pictures are really hard to get and you have to edit them so they are the only ones in the picture. Many times I had really great seats. Now NFL games, require an additional event. Going early helped especially at the will-call window and the people that you have to get outside the stadium or in the store.

I haven't had an issue with other people in the photos. They are quite understanding of the circumstances. The sporting events also use e-tickets now so that's not an issue. Concerts are still paper tickets though. I've never had a problem.
