giving ssn to marketforce

I really dont like giving my ssn to mysteryshop organizations. I'm fine with the TIN number and most do accept those. Marketforce refuses to accept TIN. Anyone able to get around this?

A TIN IS A REAL number. Its a taxpayer identification number people or sole proprietors use with a Sch C. Its actually quite proper and more professional than giving someone your SSN. Im laughing someone said a TIN is not real. I worked at the IRS and they are a real place who generates these real numbers

I blocked that person. Don’t pay attention to them.
Providing SSNs (or TINs or, for some, ITINs) is a normal aspect of business. Payors need them to report payments to the IRS.

That said, I am certain that MF would be happy to engage OP as an unpaid volunteer without reimbursements in which case, a number need not be provided. With their fee and allowed reimbursement reductions, they are nearly there.
