I Hate Field Agent

This app is soooo annoying. I have been trying to do the impossible sandwich for a week now. Every time I sign in when the window opens it says all shops are no longer available, but then the same locations repopulate each day. Last night, the location I wanted said coming soon. This morning, it looks like the in store is open and available even after the start time, so they must have opened the quota. Well now half the locations aren't there! And then you refresh and more locations populate, but I still can't get my location to load. I highly doubt someone took it. I bet tonight the location I want will show as coming soon again. I don't know who thought this system was a good idea...

Yeah, I've seen stuff like this happen and can't tell if it's a glitch or by design. I skip checking this app most of the time. Usually only check it if I'm in a big box store in case there's an easy one there.
This is why I no longer use Field Agent. The price they pay isn't enough for the hassle it creates.

Yes, I've noticed it too, but always assumed it was another shopper in my neighborhood who has quicker fingers than I. However, I was trying for that impossible sandwich place for 3 days, and finally got it! It also seems like once you complete that client's assignment, you're no longer eligible for any other, even if the scenarios are different, IE in-store, vs app, vs drive-thru.
About 98% of my interaction with Field Agent is doing the "Ticket Jobs", so that maybe, one day, they'll pick MY NAME for the $500 monthly drawing, haha!! I can dream......
I've never heard of Field Agent but now I'm intrigued and need to try it! Are there other apps besides presto that have shops?
A lot of Field Agent jobs are quota jobs. Once they reach their quota, all jobs will disappear from the board. If a job is rejected, all jobs reappear until the quota is filled. But, their fees have gotten so low, it’s not worth checking anymore.

I get the quota thing, but what doesn't make sense to me is when I click on a location and suddenly it's no longer available. There is one city I can't get a single shop for because it says it's been taken every time. This also includes for product experience shops which I find hard to believe someone is looking at the same shop same location at the exact same time as me - every time.
That is strange. I don’t think that has happened to me, so can’t offer an explanation.

I had to be 1099ed by FA in 2021, I did a little over $600 worth of jobs for them. Since then, almost 2 full years have gone by and I think that I've done about $100 wroth of jobs for them. Their pay has gotten so bad that it almost isn't worth having the app on my phone.
Got lucky with one the other day. It was at a retail pharmacy but when I got to the address it was a hospital. Snapped a pic of the hospital sign and submitted as it not being a shoppable location and it was approved.
This has been an issue with their app for years. It becomes obvious when every single location generates that error, even after reloading the app. My theory, based on years of observation and having done backend system work is that they have a poor handling of how they make shops go live, and that when one goes live prematurely their system is slow to purge it. Very often if you refresh a few minutes later, the job disappears, only to reappear a few minutes or hours later.

I had my first job out the last 200 or so completed denied today. When I went back and looked at the pictures, they are right. I have asked them to take a second look based on the information I provided (and should have provided in the notes when I submitted.) We'll see if my lawyer arguing is any good.
Tried them for the 1st time last week for a bread shop where you check to see if they had a specific brand of bread at a grocery store. But the store doesn't carry that brand of bread. I took the storefront and bread shelf photos and completed the survey. But because the brand wasn't there they said I would not get paid despite my work. The payment was pretty lousy; only $1 fee and reimbursement for the bread. But since there was no purchase I got no reimbursement and no fee. They're a pretty cheap company. I won't work for them again.
