Ipsos Job Ratings

Hello everyone. Just something I have noticed recently. I am getting a lot of 9/10 ratings on Ipsos when I used to get all 10s except the couple of times I missed something. There is no explanation in the rating e-mail as to why I did not to get a 10. Of course this is still a high score and they still pay me, but it would be nice to get some feedback if something was not done correctly. Anyone else notice this or have any insight? Do they just not want to give a "perfect" score because no one is perfect? LOL

It does not matter. I know you want an explanation, but you won't get one. Move on. Focus on better things. The editor felt it was NOT perfect, so they gave you the next best score. They are not going to take the time to tell you that you forgot a period in your commentary or that they had to change some sentence structure. Your report was really good, but NOT excellent.

I used to have editors point out specific issues they had, but that really does not happen anymore. Especially with IPSOS. They are doing way too many reports to take their time and justify a 9 or 8 on a score.

Somewhat similar, getting a lot more 9's than usual when it used to pretty much always be a 10, or if it wasn't there was (usually) a comment as to why. I agree that it's nice to know if there was a small thing that I was doing wrong or not to their liking, to get that information. it's not a big deal to me as long as I get paid, I think the same way.

I guess it's good to see someone else experiencing this, so I know it's not something I have been doing lately.
I was just curious, no need for the curt remarks. I thought I made it clear in my post I didn't think it was a major issue. Thank you for taking the time out to respond.
I have noticed it too. Sometimes I know the reason without them having to tell me. Every photo was not straight on perfect every time like in the guidelines, the photo was not what they consider 20 feet away, it was a sunny day and there is some unavoidable glare, and other things either beyond my control or super subjective. I take pride in my work but I'm also not going to spend an extra 10 minutes on a shop waiting on a cloud or whatever to get a 10 instead of a 9. And I don't get upset. I think often they are just judging the quality of the final presentation more than the quality of my work.
I did 3 of the same shop yesterday. Same amount of narrative and same report basically for all 3. I got 2 10's and a 9. Alos lot more 9s than 10s lately so probably that no one is perfect editor(s). don't affect anything so don't bother me.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

Some people on this board are flaming messes. There is valuable advice that come from these people, but you have to ignore the rest of the garbage they spew.
Basically the difference between a 9 and a 10 for the same person writing similar quality reports each time likely is based on which editor picks up your shop. You now must have an editor who prefers giving out 9's for a great report while before you had a 10 happy editor who may have moved on to another job.
I attended the Talking Shop event in Austin and Carey Medina said a 7 is a solid score. And that the editors are too busy to note every error.
Where do you see the individual scores? I can only find an average for all shops completed. Mine says 92%. I can see individual shop scores for other companies that I perform shops for. I’m not really worried about what score I get as long as I get paid. But if I did score below a 10, I would like to know so I can learn from the experience.
Scores are posted on the Sassie side of IPSOS after shops are edited. I occasionally get scores via email on ShopMetrics too, but they aren't posted on the site.

I have had the same experience and I think it’s just the auditor he or she does not give 10’s even though your report was perfect. I have emailed and asked this question with no response.
shout out to Patricia Angyal who gave me a 9 and noted what I had missed noting in the report!
Yep. Got my first 9 (always get 10s). Couldn't get an answer. Yes, its a 9 but feedback is always good to get and makes for better shoppers. Just tell me what warranted a 9 and I'll be happy.
Ol' Riley was banging out 10s this week like they were candy at Halloween. Thank you, Riley!
I cracked the code a couple of months ago.
On gas stations, report the price of gas this way: 6.299
Not 6.29 or 6.30

Also (learned 2 years ago), that a shirt color is: Black
Not black

No extra comments in the last box unless it is urgent. No explanation of the scores is wanted.

90% or more 10's again since I figured out how to report the gas price.
Yes gas is always priced just like the 99 c store we have here on the west coast. Everything ends in 99/100th of a cent. So gas is always 5.39 plus 99/100 or 5.3999. I went to the 99 cent store the other day and it was all 0.99 and 99/100 but on the receipt they charged $1.00. I told them I needed to buy more items before they could charge me the extra penny but they did not laugh.
Same experience- 9s that I wish I knew what needed improvement. I have a suggestion for Ipsos. Maybe a solution is to have a Rating Checkbox for the busy editors that they could simply check off the reason(s) such as Photos, Guidelines, Narrative, Grammar, Spelling. That would not be time-consuming and would provide shoppers a tip.
When I get a "9," most of the time I receive a reason why. Last one was that one pump was missing all the decals they are supposed to have..just one pump..and I missed it..so it was my fault..so it was pointed out to me. I'm usually careful about it, but I've been under the weather and fighting to get through my shops this week. Once in a while there is a "9" with no explanation. Doesn't bother me.

Yes, I have noticed a change in the last three weeks. I usually got tens, but now getting more nines mixed in. Maybe the reviewers got updated training or requests from their clients to look more closely at some aspects of the report.

Same for me, I got my first 9 today and no feedback, I came here to search to see if anyone else had this happen so I'm glad I'm not alone. I mean it doesn't change my ratings but 'd like to know if I missed something. Due to prior feedback, I've learned that they want colors always capitalized, and they want gas prices exactly as on the pump- $3.499 is not the same as $3.49. So whatever I did to earn the 9, I'd like to know so I can make sure to do it correctly going forward.
I've decided not to care, as awful as that sounds. I, too, noticed that most Sassie shops are now a 9 instead of a 10. IPSOS doesn't communicate or provide details on anything they do. 7,8,9, 10...as long as they pay on time, which they always do, their inconsistent editors can do whatever they want. Once I made the conscious decision to stop expecting Ipsos to respond, act professional or treat their contractors with respect, I've had a lot less stress with them!
I started getting 10s when I did the $4.599 instead of rounding it and uploading my receipts vertically. For some reason, my receipts are sometimes saved sideways as an image. Once a kind editor finally explained why I was getting 8s, I corrected the problem.
Can I get an amen?!? I've washed my hands of getting any answers (or even a response) out of Ipsos. They can give me whatever rating they want; it doesn't affect how much I'm paid, and I've stopped caring that I'm given a 9 for an unknown reason.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
Pretty soon all the editors will be gone and replaced by AI programs, anyway. So it won’t matter soon.
Same here. I usually do 3-5 of these a day. I always get mostly 10s and some 9s. Occasionally an 8. The reports are almost identical.
