Coyle Assignments?

I don't have much experience with them. Applied for a shop nearly a week ago.
Do they usually take this long to accept? Are they hoping someone they like better will apply? LOL.
Hard to make plans when they take this long.

Some of the schedulers in that and other companies can take a minute. However, Coyle and other also give you the option to pull assignment applications. I try to keep track of what applications I have pending. If something else comes up, I take it and immediately go in and cancel the pending applications. As the old saying goes, a bird in the hand is worth a couple dozen in the bush. Unless it is something I am really itching to get my hands on, I don't hold my calendar for pending applications. They are pretty much a gamble anyway.

They can take forever. It usually means they would prefer to find someone else for the job and they are waiting to see who else applies.
I got super frustrated with this a few weeks ago. It's weird, because I have a really good track record with them and know I was the first to apply. I kind of wonder if it isn't someone better, but like someone they've made a deal with. In any case, I had to keep canceling applications and adjusting.
I ended up doing a four day road trip with hotels for them. I have to tell you it was not fun. It was super stressful. I had literally no down time, because I had so much reporting and driving to do.
stress and no down time is correct... you are inspecting a hotel, not your average joe fast food restaurant.
I've never done an assignment for them, and honestly, I'm kind of afraid to. I've heard horror stories about how long and detailed their reports are, and I can only handle so much narrative writing. The scheduler keeps emailing me to do a crepe place here, but I don't think the reimbursement would cover the mandatory order requirement, and even if it did, I'm not sure it's worth the three-hour report.

It's Coyle. They do what they do for reasons known only to the voices in their heads that drive them to be a complete PITA.
I've been with Coyle for many years and have never been accepted for one of their shops. Guess they don't want the ones done in my area since no one else is applying for them.
